American Airlines, get your act together with the perpetually overcrowded lounges!
No room to get any work done, instead your business areas are filled with kids playing video games and spilling food/drinks all over.
This is in addition to being Executive Platinum and zero upgrades. What is the point in having status and having the Admirals Lounge card if it does me no good?
Fix this or else I and others will choose accordingly.

@JeffSek @AmericanAir They probably swapped plane types or moved you because you’re a lowly platinum lol. Dance puppet.

Hey @AmericanAir thanks so much for downgrading me from first class to a middle seat in the back of the plane on my flight from CLT to IAH this morning. This is how you treat a Platinum customer? I’ve been a loyal AA flyer for over 30 years. Might be time to switch to Delta.

Hey @AmericanAir… can you explain why my boarding pass has me in groups B&C, but your gate boards by numbers??? Which group am I in?

Hey @AmericanAir - I just competed a 7-day tour of Spain leading 68 other travelers - almost all high school students. #exhausted Can you help a teacher out with an upgrade on my flight to Dallas from Madrid? #THANKYOU

It’s a rough morning for TSA wait times.
JFK is already reporting 90+ min waits, and other major airports are creeping up too.
There’s been progress to get TSA funded, but nothing finalized yet. Could make for another rough weekend.

@_RowanDane I wouldn’t say you’re employed so you must be talking about yourself

I’m Executive Platinum. Platinum Pro for life. I carry the credit card. I gave this airline 20 years and more money than I care to calculate.
And I board third.
Behind the people who bought Basic Economy and paid $50 for the upgrade I used to earn with loyalty.
Group 1 on American Airlines is the angriest boarding group in America.
We spent years earning status. We flew the red-eyes. We took the connections. We sat through the delays. We chose AA over cheaper options because loyalty was supposed to mean something.
Then American decided our upgrade was worth $50 to a guy in flip-flops who booked on Kayak an hour ago.
That’s not a revenue strategy. That’s a betrayal with a boarding pass.
Four hours on American in 2026: the flight attendants get up twice. Once for drinks. Once for trash. That’s it. They sit behind the curtain for three and a half hours like they’re in witness protection.
This isn’t a one-time thing. This is standard operating procedure. Ask anyone in Group 1.
I spend $50,000 a year on other airlines now.
Alaska treats my status like a gift. Delta flight attendants have that southern charm and work the cabin like they want to be there. Cathay puts me in a flat bed with pajamas. JAL treats a domestic flight like a ceremony. Qatar practically bows.
Every single oneworld partner honors my loyalty better than the airline that issued it.
I used to sell to AA. Back in the day they were the gold standard. The crews took pride. The operation ran tight.
Now the flight attendants act like YOU are the inconvenience.
AA international is a domestic airline cosplaying as a global carrier. Outdated product. Nonexistent service. Lounges that embarrass the alliance.
Other than Spirit — which isn’t an airline, it’s a hostage situation with wings — is there a worse carrier in America?
When an Executive Platinum boards third, gets two cabin visits in four hours, and spends $50K everywhere except AA — that’s not a preference change.
That’s a divorce.
I don’t hate American Airlines. I’m disappointed in them.
After 20 years, that’s worse.
Fix the upgrades. Fix the boarding. Fix the service. Fix the attitude.
Or keep selling my seat to flip-flop guy for $50 while your best customers spend $50,000 somewhere else.
Write that down, Robert Isom.
Now I want yours. Drop your worst AA story below. Everyone who’s flown American has one.
Tag @AmericanAir. Let them see what their best customers actually think.

My 6MO and I are sleeping on the floor in Maui thanks to @AmericanAir not having agents to board guests. My breastmilk is defrosting and there is no ice available to help keep it frozen. 12 hr delay, with no representative available to help. Pilot and attendants were ready to go
