I just wanted to add something to my basket for my next delivery so I don't forget it :( @Tesco from an accessibility perspective blocking standard shopping during the wait time is horrible.

@danhett I have vague recollections that you recommended this to me years ago. If so thank you! It's amazing.

Hi @DrJenGunter I came across a claim that acids (including citric acid) impact absorption of ADHD medication. The cited source isn't one I've heard of. I can't find any evidence either way and I just wondered if you knew of any/anyone who might be able to confirm/deny it? 1/2

@okuclub your app seems to have gone from the iOS App Store. Will it be back?

@krn Language is both mutable and in general terribly imprecise as it depends on collective agreement about meaning.
Attempts to remove that ambiguity results in legalise. I'm not sure that would really work for presenting the news.
English

@krn The video is no longer there so I couldn't comment but both are valid linguistically. The origin of the word is pretty much just "a group of 10 things"
English

@krn Fair 2000 is NOT 10 years ago (WTF?)
The conservatives is still true though:
Cameron stepped down in 2016
May in 2019
Johnson and Truss in 2022
Sunak hasn't yet.
So yeah... 5 Prime Ministers in the last 10 years 4 in the last 5.
English

@krn Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak. We've had two labour as well this decade. Blair and Brown.

The more I hear from the Covid enquiry, the more I think that the PM and the majority of ministers did not have the intellectual tools necessary to understand scientific advice and therefore to be able to weigh it successfully alongside economics, social science etc. In my view this can be traced to educational failure - they weren’t taught or didn’t learn the basics of science alongside their chosen disciplines. This also applies the other way round to scientists of course. Breadth of knowledge is key, as well as specialisation / expertise, and I don’t think our system delivered that in the 80s and 90s when I (and they) went to University - whether it does that today is an open question. I think we need to be producing more polymaths.

@jonty I was shocked when we got our new fridge at how much longer the food lasted. No more coming back after a weekend away and finding the milks gone off!
English

Update: You should put a temperature data logger in your fridge.
Based on a comprehensive research methodology I like to call "my friends also put temperature data loggers in their fridges" - your fridge is too warm, and your milk could stay fresh longer

For those who watched @TechConnectify's latest video and thought "I should put a temperature data logger in my fridge": Don't. Ignorance is bliss.

@KidsInventStuff @SkippyUK @thinkl33t @YorkshireTea Decaf has basically no tannin so it probably doesn't matter much.
English

@KidsInventStuff What kind of tea is it? @thinkl33t leaves his Earl Grey in, @NotQuiteHere leaves her pepermint in. I mostly take mine out.
