@The_Ice_Creamy @justMizuyuki I got that data by doing a quick google search on a few states on a cost per prisoner/year, and then multiplied that by 20 and 60 years for each state before averaging the two totals. About half of life sentences are age 30-55, other half 20-30

@NotReal35938970 @justMizuyuki Not quite sure where you got that data from when every single study into the death penalty has shown that it costs significantly more. Death penalty costs about that figure you've mentioned, a life sentence is about a fith of that
