@Isa_11_AC Happens sometimes, especially I think when a third party delivery service is using USPS as the last mile guys.

This was funny, not an issue at all. I believe it’s because one was the normal mail courier and the other delivered a package But since the package came first I thought the second truck was coming to take it back 🤣

@NotThatOtherBob Yep He uses this word “deedah!” A lot. Not sure what it means but loves if we say it too. Speech therapy is now multiple times a week. He’s getting OT and PT too but the focus right now it’s mostly on speech

Speech therapist for the youngest explained what Gestalt Language Processing was and how autistic children acquire language this way 75% of the time. He’s at stage one, but we have hope for progress 😍💗

Only time I actually did PT was after my first ACL repair. Could do what they did on my own after the 2nd one. And I never really did any formal PT after the two back surgeries. As it stopped obviously hurting to move a certain way, I increased my movements ! Seems pretty straight forward. Not like there was a mystery to why things weren’t quite right…

I get this. My last son went through a phrase early on like this on BBC a small scale - repeating whole phrases like “do you want a drink?” when he wanted one, as that’s what we’d say to him and he associated the phrase with the action. All the grammar and structure came later. Not sure if a variation on that technique could help you? Associating blocks of language with concepts perhaps from which he could then be more communicative in his way. Then again you may already be trying that. Reminded of the Star Trek:TNG episode Darmok where the alien race use the same language but essentially had blocks of text based on a shared backstory heritage that represented concepts, rather than the traditional formal structure. The necessary Gestalt had to be discovered. Puts it on us to help your son find his Gestalt, and to learn it ourselves

This is why he can sing the tunes of old McDonald and his entire abcs (can’t articulate them), but is not able to talk. even simple words. When he is very distressed he will sometimes say “MAMA!”
