looks like @edgeX_exchange falls prey to another un-successful perp-dex tge... at this rate, hyperliquid will keep getting bigger and bigger and will ultimately kill off every other perp-dex because they just wouldn't be able to compete anymore... even after coming 2nd on overall volume processing, they failed to give decent enough returns to farmers... i do have high hopes for @variational_io but also makes me scared of how the market will take perp-dex tge's going ahead, even after pulling spectacular numbers, users, volume and more...

@edgeX_exchange tge today so lets speculate, where it can go... comparing recent perp dex launches: - @paradex (dime): launched with ~$43m fdv this month. quiet launch. major missing was no points program before tge. people were kinda annoyed only... - @Lighter_xyz (lit): launched dec 2025 with $2-3b fdv. 25% airdrop. farmers were happy until the token dumped 30% on day 1. now at $821m fdv... - @Backpack (bp): launched mar 2026 with 25% airdrop, no insider allocation. a solana exchange token. showed some hype but not hyperliquid levels. currently at $160m fdv, but it could recover well, i guess.. so where does edgex open? edgex has 25% airdrop (same as lighter), 1b supply, amber group backed. but not exactly hyperliquid-level hype and no paradex-level discount... my guess: - conservative: $100-150m fdv (if market treats it like a smaller paradex) - realistic: $200-300m fdv (if there's any demand for orderbook perps rn) - hyperbullish: $500m+ (if hyperliquid farmers rotate into it) why am i not wishing on these over-valued perp-dex tges? because watching farmers get rekt on day 1 is more entertaining than the airdrop itself... the perp dex narrative has cooled significantly since hype. people got rekt on lighter day 1. paradex launched quiet. edgex needs to show volume or nobody cares. i'll take the under on $300m...
