The #ProLife narrative that ALL women who get abortions are victims who shouldn't be subject to the law is the greatest obstacle to #EqualProtection for babies.

Great statement.

Below is a statement from @JodyBarrett4TN on why he voted against the useless and compromised House Bill 005… “The same mental gymnastics are used by the left in the gun control debate. They demonize the manufacturer of the instrument used by the criminal while refusing to acknowledge in any way the criminal culpability of the individual who chose to use the instrument to take the life of another. If they could create this same million-dollar civil liability for gun manufacturers and/or distributors, the gun-grabbing left would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, we just took a page out of their playbook. The right to life industrial complex is unwilling to even discuss the criminal culpability of the mother who knowingly, willingly, intentionally, and with malice aforethought, ingests these pharmaceuticals with the sole intent of taking the life of another human being in their womb. Under this legislation, those same individuals who concoct a plan to obtain mifepristone and/or misoprostol to end their baby’s life and execute that plan will now have a million-dollar cause of action against the manufacturer and/or distributor of the FDA-approved, legally produced, legally prescribed, and legally sold pharmaceutical claiming damages for ‘wrongful death’ because the product did exactly what it was designed and manufactured to do, as the woman who ingested the pills intended. The Morgan & Morgan law firms of the world are probably already filming their commercials. Pimps and sex traffickers are about to change their business model. Meanwhile, more innocent babies will be killed with no equal protection or equal justice under the law.”

❌Pro-life laws are not working. Abortion is flooding back into "ban" states fast because state laws keep self-induced abortion legal for women. Here's what the numbers look like ⬇️ Immediately after Dobbs, women in "ban" states started ordering pills online outside the formal U.S. medical system to kill their babies (obviously they didn't care what the FDA thought about it, nor did the companies shipping it to them). Over 54,000 women did so during the first year that clinics disappeared from their states. The second year after Dobbs, U.S.-based telehealth pill provision became an option and women just continued to order pills, but now they did it inside the U.S. medical system instead of outside it. Nothing much changed. Over 53,000 babies were murdered in "ban" states in this manner (and probably many thousands more outside the medical system). In the third year, women continued to shift to utilizing telehealth provision inside the medical system at rapidly rising rates and over 84,000 babies were murdered in "total ban" states. Year number four will likely see even higher numbers.😭 Friends, no amount of pill chasing or regulation is ever going to make up for the fact that abortion is still LEGAL for pregnant women, even in "total ban" states. And as long as it remains LEGAL, you might as well hang a sign at the state line that says "Safe Space for Baby Murder" because that's what it is.

Pro-Life groups here in the United States rightly reacted in horror and dismay when Britain's House of Lords voted to allow abortion through birth. But the action taken by the House of Lords this week decriminalized abortion for women specifically, approving language to say that "no offense is committed by a woman acting in relation to her own pregnancy." Such language is routinely found in Pro-Life bills here in the United States, and when equal protection bills are proposed to strike the language, Pro-Life groups actively oppose such efforts. In some instances, Pro-Life groups have even repealed laws passed before Roe v. Wade that banned abortion for women, although such laws usually fell short of equal protection. In a move celebrated by South Carolina Citizens for Life, Republican lawmakers voted in 2023 alongside their Democratic colleagues to repeal South Carolina Code of Laws § 44-41-80, which allowed prison sentences of two years for women who obtained abortions. Arizona Revised Statutes § 13-3604, which allowed prison sentences between one and five years for women who obtained abortions, was similarly repealed in 2021 with the support of Pro-Life groups such as the Center for Arizona Policy. Pro-Life groups in the United States that are mourning the recent vote from Britain's House of Lords are admitting that laws decriminalizing abortion for women are indeed laws that allow abortion through birth. If a law grants complete legal immunity to women who willfully have abortions, then that law can rightly be understood as allowing abortion at any time and under any circumstance, provided that the woman is the one who performs the abortion.

BREAKING: The UK House of Lords has just voted to legalise ABORTION UP TO BIRTH. We are led by truly evil people. Unspeakably wicked. They have no place leading us. Reform, Restore, and the Tories MUST commit THIS WEEK to overturning this if they enter government.

@Aksinia00447 That is why this account exists. Women who deliberately kill their helpless babies are not victims.

@Aksinia00447 The relevance is to the murderous intent of the woman in reference to her own preborn child. She wanted the child to die, and she took deliberate action to make that happen.

The second victim narrative is out of control.

🚨 @AddiaWuchner, the executive director of Pro-Life establishment group @KentuckyRTL, continues to publicly empathize with a woman who allegedly murdered her own preborn baby. Melinda Spencer told police that she ordered and took abortion pills because she did not want her boyfriend to realize that she was pregnant by another man. Spencer then allegedly buried her baby in a shallow grave in her backyard. Rather than focusing on justice for the baby, a boy who had reached about twenty weeks gestation, @AddiaWuchner has largely used several media interviews to direct her untethered empathy toward Spencer. In an interview with @Lex18News, she asked aloud if there was "pressure" for Spencer to have an abortion or if she was "coerced," even after Spencer admitted to willfully and secretly self-inducing her abortion. @AddiaWuchner also asked aloud in the same interview with @Lex18News whether Spencer was aware that there were resources available to her, such as pregnancy centers and safe haven baby boxes. These resources are commendable, and pregnant women should be encouraged to use them if they are considering abortion. But in the vast majority of cases, including apparently this case, women who have abortions are willfully murdering their preborn babies because, for one reason or another, they simply do not want to be pregnant anymore. Spencer had previously been charged with fetal homicide. But the charge was dismissed earlier this week since Pro-Life laws supported by @KentuckyRTL ban prosecutors from charging women who allegedly murder their preborn babies. @KentuckyRTL is one of many Pro-Life establishment groups across the country that simply fail to grasp, or refuse to grasp, the reality that most women who have abortions are not innocent second victims. Pro-Life leaders such as @AddiaWuchner may be well-intentioned in trying to empathize with women like Spencer, but their untethered empathy denies justice to murdered preborn children and ensures more murders take place in the future. 📹: @Lex18News
