THE DEVIL ALSO ATTENDS MASS, BUT HE NEVER RECEIVES COMMUNION🇻🇦 Yes, you read that right. The devil also attends Mass. He was there at the Last Supper, hiding in the heart of Judas. He still enters the church today… whispering distractions, stirring pride, and mocking silence. He knows the prayers by heart. He can even quote Scripture better than many Christians. He watches the priest lift the chalice, but he never kneels in adoration. He knows Christ is truly present, but he cannot love Him. You see, being present at Mass doesn’t make anyone holy. The devil was present when Jesus preached. He was present when Jesus was crucified. He was even present in the desert to tempt Him. But presence without obedience is rebellion, and attendance without conversion is hypocrisy. Many come to Mass and leave unchanged, talking, gossiping, scrolling their phones, and treating the Eucharist as a ritual, not a miracle. But the true believer comes trembling with love, for he knows that at that altar, Heaven bends low, and angels bow their faces in awe. Don’t just be at Mass, belong to the Mass. Don’t just watch, worship. Don’t just approach, adore. The devil also attends Mass. But he will never say, “My Lord and my God.”

I have the results of my PET scan and it's good news. The cancer is there but it is inactive. Thanks be to God. The cirrhosis is there, too, and I have more to worry about with the cirrhosis.

During today’s General Audience, Pope Leo XIV said that worldly success never truly satisfies our hearts — only the Risen Christ can fill our emptiness and give lasting peace. In a weary world, he urged us to be signs of hope, peace, and joy.

I first met Charlie Kirk about four years ago when I was in Phoenix for a speaking engagement. He reached out and invited me to breakfast. I was deeply impressed by him that day. He was a man of great intelligence, considerable charm, and real goodness of heart.   I reconnected with him just last year, after I saw him debate twenty-five young people who were, to put it mildly, hostile to his views. I texted him that I was so struck by how he kept his cool and his charitable attitude in the face of some pretty obnoxious opposition. I then asked him to appear as a guest on my interview program, “Bishop Barron Presents,” and he eagerly accepted my invitation. He was scheduled to come to Rochester, Minnesota in about ten days. The last contact we had was two nights ago. After I appeared on one of the evening news shows to talk about the Religious Liberty Commission, he texted me and told me how much he appreciated what I said and then added, “I’m excited to join you on your show soon. God bless you.”   That last sentence shows what was most important to Charlie. He was indeed a great debater and also one of the best advocates in our country for civil discourse, but he was, first and last, a passionate Christian. In fact, when we had that breakfast in Phoenix, we didn’t talk much about politics. We talked about theology, in which he had a deep interest, and about Christ. I know I’m joining millions of people around the world in praying that he rests now in the peace of the Lord.

First Millennial to be canonized Saint- an amazing young man - of faith, and blessed with understanding today’s technology using them for the good of our culture.

Making sure I save this to show my kids the next time they roll their eyes at one of my jokes that there was one day in August 2025 their mom was pretty funny.
