It’s becoming clear that the best game plan for Wemby is to be extremely physical with him.
OKC made him fight for everything last night, even his positioning on the floor. Pestering him and getting under his skin seems to work as well.
We can see Castle pushes SGA in the back for a legit foul. Was the push enough to force SGA to fall? Probably not. But it doesn't bother me what a player does or where they end up after a legitimate foul.
@GetUpESPN None of these guys addressed the point. it is about fairness. If refs want the game to be physical, fine, but you need to let both team play physical. You cannot allow OKC play physical on the defense, but give them ridiculous calls on the offensive.
People choosing to focus on officiating instead of that incredible basketball game have OKC-induced madness.
Wemby is getting held like crazy. Shai is getting held like crazy. This is playoff basketball. It's physical, especially off-ball, and you play through it. That's it.
Y’all.. I’ve been watching the NBA since the late 80s. I don’t know if I’ve seen a superstar get this favorable of calls that Wembanyama is getting. He always gets the benefit of the doubt. He runs over people and always jumps over the back.
I don't understand how you don't call a foul on Victor Wembanyama for running over Jaylin Williams. This is the second time he's gotten away with that.
Now NBC is crying that Hartenstein is playing too rough with poor Alien ... while the Spurs get away with playing football on SGA. Nobody outside OKC wants the Thunder to do anything but GO AWAY AND LEAVE THE NBA ALONE.
Victor Wembanyama savvy with the sell job on that call on Hartenstein with the exact chicken wing most would crucify Shai for. Great move to take advantage of an aggressive defender by Wemby.
