Tangible Co-ideation, an early-stage project from the Tangible Media research group led by @ishii_mit, is a playful, board-game inspired interface for creative collaboration between two people and an AI system. In place of a keyboard and screen, it uses a digital whiteboard and tangible representations of AI mentors — agents trained (with permission!) on the talks and papers of scholars like Professor Ishii (represented by an abacus) and Media Lab alum Xiao Xiao (represented by a piano). The system is designed to encourage reflection, critique, and independent decision-making, as the mentors may disagree about the best approach to a project or question. Traditional ideation is broken in the AI era. In the last 3 years we’ve seen the transition from: SaaS → LLM wrappers → AI-native, vertically integrated apps How do you decide what to build? Our curriculum directors (@EthanPalosh, @allisoncyhuang, Atticus Kim) mapped the space: 4 types of AI companies: 1. Labs (foundation models) 2. Pickaxes (data + tooling) 3. Vertical apps 4. Infrastructure (agentic future) For student-founders, the opportunity lies in areas 2-4. Key lessons: > Build for where models are going, not where they are > Implementation isn’t a moat > Rethink pricing (outcomes > seats) Get ahead of the shift.

Sitting here thinking, when am I "efficient" enough? Like when I think on how I develop thoughts and write, and build I'm like I could use AI to build a tool to make me better at writing, and ideation, and writing, and challenging me, etc etc. I could build hooks and skills on top of my existing workflows to give me back a few more minutes here and there and I'm starting to think, what is my efficient enough point? Where you think yes, I might be able to enhance this part of my job, but I'm just not going to. It doesn't add enough value or it's not worth the brain damage to build a thing ? For a bit more of an example: I could create a challenge this thought skill, because I ask AI to challenge my thinking all the time, but I'm ok just typing that in regularly. Then after I get challenged, I often will ask it to help take those counterpoints and predict what it thinks I will say, then I'll write it up, etc etc. I'm ok just putting in repetitive prompts.

Anyone can create a sci-fi film trailer like this now. In this video, I break down my full workflow using Adobe Firefly, from ideation to final edit: I start by developing characters and story inside @AdobeFirefly (moodboarding & storyboarding). Then I generate cinematic stills using Nano Banana 2 directly in @Adobe Firefly. After that, I turn those images into video using @Kling_ai 2.5 Turbo inside Firefly Boards. Once I have multiple clips, I refine the sequence, lock the storyboard, and bring everything into @AdobeVideo Premiere 2026 for final editing. This workflow gives me full creative control while moving fast and exploring more visual options. This entire experimental video started from just 1 base image. I developed it in @Adobe @Photoshop using Nano Banana Pro, pushing variations, refining details, and building the visual direction step by step. Then I moved everything into @AdobeFirefly Boards to manage the whole concept, iterate faster, and expand it into a full sequence. For the final stage, I handled sequencing and editing in @AdobeVideo Premiere to shape the narrative and pacing. This is a simple but powerful workflow: 1 image → full conceptual experimental video.
