@JimmyBurnsYT @ScotlandSky He is a creature of habit. Maybe everyone can see what's coming next. Who's to say another manager wouldn't have qualified us 3 out of 4?

@ScotlandSky Anyone who booed should be ashamed. This man has made Scotland a competitive nation. Qualified for 3 out of the last 4 tournaments. Just because they lost a friendly people think they can boo. Get you've wasted a decent chunk of money but that's the expected risk of being a fan.

@tbuckleythinks @DoncasterRaces Good lad. That's how most get involved- but they think student nights are the way to go. Free the grandparents to take their kids to Doncaster this summer.

I got into racing through family trips to @DoncasterRaces to the Lincoln, St Leger etc, my dad tells me I was 8 for my first Lincoln way back in 1985😀 Lincoln winners that stick in my mind are Right Wing in 1999, Very Wise in 2007 & Addeybb in 2018 What about you ? 😀

@FOBRacing @RalphBeckett This isn’t just about welfare. It's about ideology. It's how the Scottish government works. And it's possibly coming your way soon.

This seems naive tbh Both sports have made huge progress with welfare but that wasn’t enough to stop anecdote and political bartering leading to greyhound racing bans in Wales and Scotland* This isn’t just about welfare racingpost.com/news/britain/b…

The "Elizabeth Line", the "King Charles III Coastal Path"......why do we keep massaging the egos of this ridiculous, dysfunctional family by attaching their names to achievements to which they contributed nothing?

I was born in Sweden. I have lived and worked in Ireland for 30 years. I have 3 Irish/Swedish kids. Today I was told by a person that 'you are not even Irish'. What have we become? Happy St Patrick's Day - I love this country 😟

@EvaCatDev I don’t see the issue? You were born in Sweden, you’re Swedish What’s wrong with that, it’s not an insult or derogatory comment, it’s the simple truth You can live somewhere as long as you want, you’ll never be that nationality

@JournalismSEEN Someone should tell "Charlotte" that your oil tank has a handy guage on the side so you don't have to lift the lid and peer in (to a dark tank without a torch in hand)

@Goonyella_ @MattBisogno @daverenham Great point. Has become more prevalent. Last year, division at some northern tracks was ridiculous. Division - N/R's at Carlisle = 7 and 6 runner handicaps.

@MattBisogno @daverenham I'm not entirely sure as I wasn't around in 2010, but are there any division rate figures? Were they as likely to divide back then than they are now?

Problems afoot for Salisbury racecourse (among others) as this comparison of field sizes from 2010 to 2025 starkly illustrates. Taken from @daverenham 's latest piece for geegeez.co.uk which I've just finished editing. Will be up on site shortly.

My understanding is BHA are meeting tomorrow about this: ✅ several trainers have emailed the BHA about this being saved ✅ @HexhamRaces wants to reschedule ✅ @bkracing123 is happy to sponsor ✅@MikeEckley4 has said he will move his sponsorship to another race to avoid a clash There is no reason on a card that only has 5 and a bumper currently, that this can not be saved @TByrneBHA we
SD Racing Services@racingoncourse

As a result of @HexhamRaces abandonment, no 4m chase today. The next meeting is 5 and a bumper. The 4m chase around Hexham is unique, invigorating and should be rescheduled for then. The only other 4m chase was abandoned in November. I have spoken to today’s sponsor @bkracing123 and he is happy to sponsor this race. There is precedence with Bangor rescheduling its North Wales National only last month. Make it happen @TByrneBHA . Sure trainers from today would support @lucindavrussell @petescu @CWilliamsRacing @NGRichardsRace @MHammondRacing @ColtherdRacing @garyjrutherford @LambdenRacing .

@JonTay2023 @alanferrier That's what we were told. 2026 governments dole out even more in subsidies to the private sector. Many of them foreign owned.

@alanferrier The problem was ships were getting built in Korea, Japan, etc for less, better & fewer issues. So less need for the shipyards, especially as there was less Naval ships being built. Govt can’t just keep subsidising companies year after year, decade after decade.

I was born and brought up in Greenock and had many friends and family members who worked in the shipyards. I watched old men cry as the cranes came down in the 1970s and '80s. The Clyde was betrayed by your ex-party and their ilk. You disgust me. x.com/Malcolm_Offord…
Malcolm Offord@Malcolm_Offord

Greenock shaped me. It was where I was born and grew up, and it gave me the values and education to make something of myself. I could have chosen anywhere to stand, but as I always say it matters most what your roots are. So it had to be Inverclyde. greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/25934674.…
