This is even though a suspect in the matter has handed himself over to Alexandra SAPS. It’s now been over a month since Kabelo went missing. The incident has caused severe stress for his family, who are still appealing to anyone with information to come forward. What has shocked some residents in Alexandra is the feeling that other townships — like Vosloorus, Soweto, and Tembisa — often unite when a community member goes missing. But many feel that residents of Alexandra have not come together in the same way since Kabelo’s disappearance.

ORANGE FARM — The family is appealing for help to find 24-year-old Refilwe Meres Mogotsi from Tshepiso, Soweto, who vanished on 31 January 2026 after armed men stormed a tavern in Orange Farm. According to family reports, Refilwe had attended a ceremony in Orange Farm with her boyfriend. While the couple were at a tavern later that evening, a group of armed men entered the premises. In the chaos that followed, Refilwe went missing. She has not been seen or heard from since.

@Malatjie_ @NCRegulator 2/2 ... now she's being denied credit (for years infact), eventually found out theres a Debt Review Flag in her name. Since 2017! Surely thats a sign something is wrong. NCR was emailed to no help. Now she has to pay thousands of rands for this to be removed!
