@Chibi22395 Rare was showing cracks but like any good leader in charge of the ship those cracks could have been repaired. Nintendo could have guided Rare back into a new golden era, the potential was there. Nuts and Bolts was basically an early Tears of the Kingdom.

I think the amount of people saying the Rare buyout is funny AF because even by the end of the N64, Rareware was showing the cracks in the armor that would lead to the mistakes they had a Microsoft. If anything, Nintendo dodged a bullet. Rare was past its prime imo 🤷‍♂️

@juuxiie2 I'm sure this is easy information to find but I'm going to look up how Nintendo gets these amiibo made. Typically quality degrades when companies work on toys over time but it's the opposite with Nintendo. They must have some special deal or own a part of a company.

Subnautica 2 is basically the inverse of the guy that made the squirrel game where people built squirrel auchwitz. They saw people killing the fish and making biofuel exclusive bases and said "they shouldn't do that with the mechanics we gave them, we have to take them away!" The squirrel guy saw people making squirrel chopping assembly lines and decided to make it a core mechanic and expand on it. This is why Subnautica 2 responding how they did rubs everyone the wrong way. While it's good to maintain your vision, you're actively fighting players for not getting your vision and using the mechanics you gave them in a way you don't like. Anyone that was actually playing Subnautica since day one knows the devs have always been on thin ice with the community. The first game runs horrendously and most bugs were some common that even the most casual player could recreate them reliably after an hour of playing. Subnautica BZ was a total trashfire story wise and everyone hated it

ive always been fond of crazee dayzees, yoshis island ds was my first video game after all, so im very pleasantly surprised by how prominent they are in the new game. almost feels like its to make up for how they literally disappeared after 2014

@BringBackBanjoK The themes and concepts from Banjo-Kazooie feel something out of a classic fairy tale but the style feels more modern and self-aware like you'd expect from early dreamworks.

The funny think about Banjo Kazooie is that it was so immediately iconic, and so immediately influential that Miyamoto delayed Ocarina of Time through fear that it couldn’t measure up. Still influencing every 3D platformer in the genre, from Mario Odyssey to Hat in Time btw.

@ChomperElectric It did however trip up the momentum it should have had. Crash was making a comeback but people fail to realize how fragile that can be. Star Fox Metroid and even ratchet & clank to an extent will go dormant for a while if things don't go just right because their base is small.

I will not accept N Sane Trilogy hate when it did nothing but solidify Crash's position in Pop Culture. CTR was the fastest selling Crash game ever, and Crash 4 was sabotaged by a weak reveal and a bad release date, yet it still cracked 5 million. I blame Activision. Not Crash.
