Personal thoughts: I understand why Trump wants a deal. He wants to avoid a forever war, he wants oil to flow and secure a nuclear agreement. Fine, do it. But Hezbollah should not be part of it. The deal is with Iran, not Hezbollah. A terror proxy does not get the protections of a sovereign state. I am an American living in northern Israel. I’ve had thousands of rockets and missiles over my head since October 8. We have no reason to believe Hezbollah “the resistance group” will stop rebuilding and rearming. Make the deal with Iran if you want. Just keep Hezbollah out of it.
