@StefanFSchubert @IonaItalia Astrology was also an imperfect attempt to categorize personalities. Just more imperfect. DSM, conncectomics, psychoanalysis should seem equally dubious by future metrics.
English

@IonaItalia Doesn’t seem analogous to astrology. Astrology is complete superstition, Myers-Briggs is not; it’s an imperfect attempt to categorise personalities.
English

Definitely Myers-Briggs. I actually think even astrology might be more accurate. 🤣
Jeffrey Ladish@JeffLadish
What is the male equivalent of astrology?
English

@QuannumLogic Good take. Yes it is a buzzword but it still means something.
English

I get it, but “warm” is a lot easier to say than:
“additional 2nd order harmonic density as a result of subtle halfwave/asymetrical waveshaping commonly associated with single ended triode/jfet hardware circuit designs”
mo@molokai____
i hate the term warm in audio “compressor adds warmth” “mixdown is so warm” stfu
English

@MOODYGOOD @zettatunes They’ve been a pain especially about this kind of stuff. I’ve stopped paying for their premium service and can’t find a good reason to go back.
English

@zettatunes My gawddd SoundCloud is so dead.. when I upload the track myself they take it down everytime and say they suspect me of violating moody good’s ownership..

@QuannumLogic @natemixing Funny thing is that both are objectively not great monitors
English

@natemixing Big brain move on Yamaha’s part to make the cones white for that exact reason.
It’s also why so many people bought KRK rokits in the beatmaker era. They saw yellow cones in a producer they liked’s studio & thought “quality” instead of “mushy transients & comb filter-ahh highs”
English

@QuannumLogic @GuerillaMcGavin Dillinja is a bucketlist live set for me
English

Waxing philosophical about all things Dillinja w/ @GuerillaMcGavin at let it roll puerto rico
English

@ALEPH_Sound You have to compensate w sensitive headphones. Loud ass hd25s did the job back when I was touring.
If I were to do it all over again, I’d wanna try IEMs and switch between cue/mix so no booth needed at all.
Or just do what the kiddies are doing and mash on the SYNC button.
English

@NumberNin6 Yeah ive had these before but struggled to hear the sounds coming out of the headphones over everything else. Probably still the move and maybe i should learn to actually dial in the booth lvl 💀💀💀
English

@AutismCapital @jakescul All modern electronica is “coded.” This is essentially turning a synthesizer knob but with more steps and a worse GUI.
English

@jakescul Artist called DJ_Dave. Genre of music is called "algorave."
English

Been studying @Lockjawdnb’s output for some time now. Meticulous drum programming.
English

@ThysMusic @tsuruda cringe creates cash if it captures attention. McDonald’s makes mad money
English

2025 musician reality; it’s a career risk to try to not be cringe.
I don’t know what I’m doing. No real strategy. I’m just putting out tunes and letting go of any expectation of results.
The music will carry me if it’s good enough. If it’s too mid to carry me, I’ll be humble.
tsuruda@tsuruda
god damn DJs b making the worst fuckin reels to stay relevant and what not and I swear it b pushing people away. like holy fuckin cringe bro 😭
