@DEADMANNART People don't get "political for no reason other than not liking a guy." There's absolutely tangible reasons as to why artists get political and encourage other like-minded artists to do so.

President Trump's 25% blanket tariffs on all products from Canada and Mexico -- and now the retaliatory tariffs thrown back at us -- will do real harm to middle class families. Best estimates are that the average Michigan family will pay $1200 more per year bc of this approach.

@Numitorus I'm not too fond of the right-leaning stuff myself, but the algorithm gives you what you respond to the most. I've centered this account around... rather obvious things, and I only seem to get that. I don't speak to be critical, but distance yourself from this. You'll be happier

God, this place is just virtually unusable now-- I leave for a couple weeks and my feed that was once somewhat curated to avoid these things is all regurgitated memes from the worst Alt-Right accounts, coupons for bluechecks, and slurs all over.

Obviously not unique to this side of twitter, but why does the NSFW side have such a case of arrested development when it comes to discussing politics? "I followed you for drawings of tits, not for politics" What are you, four years old?

@Numitorus I only avoid politics on my page b/c this site has become super toxic regarding anything political. Plus once you start your whole feed gets filled with extremist stuff Elon pushes.

@Fantazizer Unless a profile literally says "apolitical" I'm going to assume the woman is engaged in politics in some way or another. I know it can happen with men and women alike, but young men are far more likely to be politically apathetic-- that's generally what I'm saying there.

9/10 times, if someone says "I followed you for... Not for..." You go to their page, and it's transphobic, racist and other vile shit sprinkled in between pictures of anime girls of questionable age. Almost every time.

@hornyaccount133 You might be following them for art, but you can't forget there's a person behind that page-- if they're angry or scared about something, they're free to say as much, and maybe they want to use that platform to spread awareness.

@Numitorus People follow art accounts for art, if the artists wants to start tweeting about politics and their life etc they should make a separate acc for that and have it in their bio The following they have accumulated isn't for their political takes or irl opinions, it's for the art
