2220. Alien ruins turn up no life. Again. Though convinced he found nothing, something found him. It searches his mind and finds our racial memory. In ten stories, we see what it discovers. What we don't know is more important than what we do. amazon.com/dp/B0FV3V8TNC

@theGrimWriter I don't remember how I came up with my MC. She's confronting deep fears that are bombarding her and she'll have to learn to deal with a trauma she's just now realizing before she can deal with the fears. Plus, she's working with people far more advanced than us.

#WritingCommunity Writers, how did you come up with your main character? ✍️ And what’s the biggest obstacle, flaw, or “hill” they have to overcome during their character development? #writingq #writingtips

@Mary_ork Gravity manipulation, a visit to Ceres, and a war stopping supply ships from reaching Earth. Oh, and most of humanity has no clue any of this is going on.

People get annoyed that Netflix is supposedly asking show’s to dumb down the writing & spell out everything to viewers not paying attention & yet people constantly prove how abysmal media literacy is now. People literally cannot cope if they have to connect are dots themselves.

@okayestpoet If we taught things like how Grenville screwed King James and the Colonies, causing the American Revolution and how it all pertains to being able to do things yourself, this probably wouldn't be an issue.

@okayestpoet Seriously, people are so lazy and selfish, now. They want to act like royalty, where their every word is law and advisors tell them everything they need to know.

Omg. AI has brought around people fighting for illiteracy. "Why should I have to read and comprehend something when AI can just tell me?" Bro, you would have LOVED the middle ages.

It’s just such a fucking waste. Who cares if you had an idea for a story if you’re not willing or able to actually fucking tell it? It’s nothing! The stories matter because of what goes into creating them! If a computer builds the story for you, the book doesn’t fucking matter!

@raelynn_cantu I think most start as pantsers. My first novel was semi-pantsed. Now I'm a diehard plotter. When my characters act up . . . well, they don't act up. Not any more.😈👮🏼

Writers, are you a pantser or a planner? Personally, I am a pantser. I cannot for the life of me fully plan out a novel. I've tried and can barely get through one. When I write, I know the beginning, the middle, and how it'll end. Then I just travel along with my characters. 😅

@DNicholsAuthor The idea that aliens might use mind reading to learn about beings they encounter before introducing themselves. From there, it got kinda disturbing . . . but it worked!

I once saw a town called Fort Lonesome on a weather map on TV and the name struck me so deeply that I wrote a YA witchy creepy thriller centered around it. What sparked the idea for your latest book? #WritingCommunity

@mistressdivy They didn't do it by selling books. They did it by emphasizing music and movies while expanding their special events and cafés. I think they're looking at how fast new books will come out in to draw in more readers. Plus, indie bookstores have increased by almost 200%.

@real_mpwilcox I agree. It's supposed to be 1 page of synopsis for every 25 pages of manuscript, but that takes me more drafts than the manuscript!

@Nutso4Dynamo I've found it difficult condensing a story to so many hundred words, if that.

@Kristinartz Censorship was consistently challenged and defeated. Music was storytelling. Stores stayed open for people already there and didn't chase you off. Unwed pregnancies became scandals. Politics and religion were forbidden topics. Most of it has turned around 180° since then.

@Kristinartz We were patient, highly literate, considerate, respectful, and knew basic tasks as toddlers, mostly because there weren't many other options. Libraries were social centers and everybody stayed out of everybody else's business. Kids could play outside safely until Mom SCREAMED!

@SweetNovember48 For some people, that's all the motivation they need. For others, it's just part of the clock. But for those few, the true motivation is within.
