@unseen1_unseen Tariffs build nations. America's rise as an industrial power directly correlates to the introduction of the Morrill Tariff while Britains decline correlates to the sunsetting of the Corn Laws. Free trade is a corrosive lie.

China's gdp in dollars was about 77% of the USA's GDP in 2021 as china came out of covid quicker than the US and China was gaining Today China's gdp in dollars is about 64% of the USA's and dropping. Mostly due to china's deflationary event and depreciation of the yaun as well as the tariffs Trump put on during Trump 1.0 and that biden kept. The new tariffs will probably increase the divergence.

@mclo_Bridger @unseen1_unseen Declare bankruptcy? Does USA stand for United States of Argentina? Immediate loss of reserves currency status, impossible to sell government debt overseas for a generation and a tsunami of USD returning home leading to out od control inflation.

@GandalfObiewan @Osinttechnical No, Greenland is a hunter society, there's basically no gun control. You can buy hunting rifles in supermarkets. Further, the government mandates carrying at least a 30.06 calibre rifle when traveling in East Greenland. The 55,000 greenlanders have 35,000 firearms among them.

Well, here’s essentially an answer to everything. If blackmail and threats work, and you can just go and snatch Greenland, then why not keep going with Ontario? Quebec? British Columbia? Iceland? Bermuda? They’re all incredibly necessary so that Donald Trump can slap his name on them in gold letters and praise himself in front of TV cameras — because “America’s security”, because they treated us very badly, because they didn’t give me a Nobel Prize, because China, because they don’t pay me $1 billion to be part of my toy “peace board,” etc etc etc. The moment you allow this to begin, it will never end, and no appeasement along the lines of “our alliance with America matters more than some icy rocks somewhere out there” will pay off. You’ll lose both.

There is of course a shower, provided by this wand. It was pretty effective, with good pressure. The floor also dries very quick. Only issue - no hot water.

BREAKING: Taiwan receives its first batch of 11 HIMARS. Taiwan has bought a total of 29 HIMARS from the U.S. for USD 1.1 billion (including missiles and spare parts). The weapons are meant to protect Taiwan against a potential Chinese invasion fleet. 🇹🇼🇺🇸🇨🇳

Europe is mostly powerless to change Trump’s behaviour, so Trump will do what he wants. However European states are still powerful enough to determine their own destiny, if they are willing to move quickly.

@ForeignAffairs They don’t need to invade, simply blockade. In addition, Taiwanese don’t want to fight against China. Most of them regard as one people with the same culture and language.

@ShangYang2 @AgatheDemarais China is interested as long as Russia pays, and sells the gas cheap, and allows for diversification, as China won't allow themselves to become dependent on Russia.

🇷🇺 - Moscow has no good option to revive flagging gas sales • Europe has diversified sources of energy supply and plans to stop importing Russian fossil fuels in 2027 • China is not that keen to increase imports of Russian gas for fear of becoming overly dependent on Moscow

@jaimi85012502 @AgatheDemarais Now that you mentioned stealing, the French and the Anglos invaded and colonized almost all the countries in Africa, murdered the natives, enslaved them and exploited them. The French and the English are a disgrace to humanity.

@AgatheDemarais China was highly dependent on the Middle East for their energy. They have been receiving oil & gas discounted from Russia. To suggest they are not keen about it, is misleading.

Hi everyone. I’ve DM’d out a few hundred 💙sky codes, but still have more (I wasn’t expecting to be inundated). However the need list (s) are unmanageable. If you still want one, message below. Sorry it’s taking so long!

People are sending me unused access codes for 💙sky. If you would like one, write in a response to this tweet. You need to promise that you will distribute all of those codes to people who will use them (and so on and so on). They way to win against Elmo is to lose him money.
Phillips P. OBrien@PhillipsPOBrien

I have 5 new access codes for 💙 sky. Will give them out to people who I follow first. If I follow you and you want one, please dm.

@tomhfh Tom, the tragedy is that the British Empire, not the UK, won the war but lost the peace. Europe made another war impossible by basically dissolving their economies into a greater whole, while the UK either treated that project as a petty transactional deal or just left. Shame.
