A freelance writer was about to spend $2,400 on a new MacBook. His 3-year-old MacBook Pro took 2 minutes to boot. Apps froze mid-sentence. The fan sounded like a jet engine by lunch. The rainbow wheel appeared 30+ times a day. He assumed it was dying. He started comparing the M4 MacBook Pro online. His cousin a senior IT engineer who manages 400+ Macs at a tech company was visiting for the weekend. He opened the laptop, clicked 4 things, and said: "Your Mac isn't slow. It's suffocating. macOS ships with 9 settings that silently eat your CPU, your RAM, and your storage. Apple never tells you to turn them off because a slow Mac sells a new Mac. Give me 10 minutes." 10 minutes later the MacBook booted in 18 seconds. The fan went silent. The rainbow wheel disappeared. He canceled the $2,400 order that night. Here's everything his cousin changed 🧵

99% of marketing fails because people are selling the product instead of the outcome. Nobody wants: • A drill. They want a hole in the wall. • A mattress. They want better sleep. • A camera. They want unforgettable memories. • AI tools. They want to save hours and earn more. Features answer "What is it?" Benefits answer "Why should I care?" People don't buy products. They buy convenience. They buy confidence. They buy status. They buy time. They buy transformation. Every extra feature is just noise until you connect it to a real human benefit. Stop selling what you built. Start selling what people become after using it. That's when marketing starts working.

Dario Amodei said this 11 months ago: "100 million words context window is already possible. Roughly what a human hears in a lifetime. Inference support is the only bottleneck." 11 months later, nobody shipped it. And it wasn't the GPUs. Turns out models degrade long before the window fills up. Recall drops, reasoning gets fuzzy. Researchers started calling it context rot. But the second half of his quote aged perfectly: "Models actually do learn during the context window, without changing the weights" That one line quietly predicted everything since. Context engineering replacing fine-tuning. Memory systems. Agents that get smarter mid session. The bottleneck was never compute. It was attention. 🚨Stop trusting one AI. I made ChatGPT, Claude, and DeepSeek debate the same question. The final answer was better than any of them gave alone. Here's how: 🧵

Naval Ravikant said that if the AI labs are right about where this is going, there will be exactly two jobs left in the world. Anthropic employee, and sex worker for Anthropic employees. He said the people who would know the most, the researchers inside the frontier labs, are quietly telling him there will be nothing left for humans to do. Read between the lines of what they say, and it comes out the same way every time. Your tools stop mattering. Within a year the AI builds its own. You are not even the customer anymore, because the AI is talking to other AIs. Then it starts solving material science. Physics. Health. The things humans spent centuries stuck on. So Naval made a joke about breadlines. Level three now. Trying to get his smart friends hired at Anthropic so they can pull him up to level two. The joke works because everyone in the room felt the floor under it. The scariest predictions in AI never arrive as predictions. They show up as a joke nobody in the room actually laughs at.
