In Joshua 10:13 he asked god for the sun to stand still. Let’s say in his medieval human mind he didn’t know that the earth is the one that moves. Even if we accepted your interpretation, a sun standing still would still affect the Earth. The actual biblical account is about the sun not setting over Gibeon and the moon not rising over Ajalon.
