$268 billion for the NYS budget and $127 billion for the NYC government. Folks, we have a spending problem. Businesses and people are moving to other states with lower taxes and spending. The top 1% pay almost 50% of all income tax revenue for NYS and NYC. You can't tax your way out of this. Where are the fiscally responsible people? Silly slogans and shouting 'tax the rich' aren't a strategy. Childish talk for the rabid base.

So I really used to enjoy The Point with @MKramerTV but she has the weirdest vendetta against Mamdani. It is really tough to watch. I am down for challenging politicians but she misses ZERO opportunities to try to drag Zohran. Even before he has elected. Very bias pro Cuomo

As I said a week ago, risky strategy @NYCMayor In an internal email to Citadel NY employees, COO Gerald A. Beeson, says they may not move forward with the new Park Ave construction project now. “It is shameful that he [Mamdani] used Ken’s name as the example of those who supposedly aren’t carrying their fair share of the burdens associated with New York City’s often costly and wasteful spending. In doing so, the Mayor has once again manifested the ignorance and disdain of the elite political class towards those who have been consistently committed to building one of the greatest cities in the world.” “We are about to commence the redevelopment of 350 Park Avenue, creating 6,000 highly paid construction jobs and supporting the creation of more than 15,000 permanent jobs in mid-town New York. The project – if we move forward – will entail more than $6 billion dollars of spending.”

Ken Griffin employs thousands of people in NYC and is planning to build the tallest office tower on Park Ave., investing billions more and creating thousands more jobs. (For that reason, he’s also here in NYC a lot, @NYCMayor) Meantime Miami is welcoming him and his firm, with the massive jobs, investment and tax revenue he’s bringing. Making him feel unwelcome and demonizing him seems risky. Ken left Chicago and moved Citadel hq to Miami a few years ago because of bad policy. (He also sold his penthouse there)

Feeling nostalgic. I was about 10 or so. My brothers, 9 and 7. Whether it was a holiday, Sunday, or a regular school day, this is how Mom and Dad dressed us. In their eyes, presentation was destiny. Btw, Lawrence and Vernon are still close. I was aloof from the day I arrived.

This should be the scariest video any elected official has ever seen. We cite Wall Street bonuses as proof that New York’s economy is thriving, but the CEO of the largest private employer in the city is publicly admitting his headcount here is shrinking while he grows in Texas. The tax base we’re counting on is quietly walking out the door. Instead of pro-growth policy that attracts new investment, our electeds keep fishing from the same shrinking pond and then act surprised when the catch gets smaller every year. If we don’t change course, keep increasing our bills … there will be almost no one left to pay it.
