One section of the Offensive Coordinator Workbook that doesn’t get talked about enough — but probably saves coaches the most stress — is the IF–THEN planning sections. Not plays. Not formations. The questions. IF our best WR gets hurt… THEN what? IF teams overload the box… THEN what? IF they’re stealing signals… THEN what? IF we need tempo late… THEN what? IF we’re thin at OL… THEN what? That section forces you to think through those answers before you’re standing on the sideline with a headset on and emotions high. I built that part of the book because I learned (the hard way) that good play calls don’t save you if you haven’t already decided how you’re going to respond to problems. The workbook walks you through: • Personnel contingencies • Formation answers vs common looks • Tempo decisions • Situational offense (2-minute, 4-minute, red zone) • Communication plans Then the Offensive Coordinator Academy builds on that with coaches explaining how they’ve handled those same situations in real games. Nothing flashy. Just preparation that shows up when things go sideways.
