The OCLF mourns the passing of Andrea Zinder, President of UFCW 324. Her leadership and unwavering commitment to workers’ rights strengthened our movement and uplifted countless families. We extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones and union siblings at UFCW 324.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Labor Day Picnic at the Santa Ana Zoo! It was a beautiful day of music, food, and solidarity celebrating the hard work of OC’s working people. Thank you to our unions, labor allies, and volunteers; together, we are stronger.

Tonight, we are joining our Santa Ana educators in asking Santa Ana Unified School District to rescind the over 220 layoffs targeting educators and counselors. The board has a duty to implement a comprehensive plan that balances the budget, protects our students, and educators.

Our @udw_union members are fighting for a fair contract with the County Board of Supervisors. IHSS workers perform critical work in our county and deserve a contract with a living wage. We urge the Supervisors to negotiate in good faith. #unionstrong

We urge Representative @repyoungkim to vote no on the House budget resolution that includes over 800 billion dollars in cut targeting Medicare, medical, social security, and other programs helping children and the elderly.
