Great find by @TurnbullMartin of a Hollywood Bowl shuttle bus at 1628 N. El Centro. The googie bowling alley here (now LA Fitness) was unique. When you walked in, the floor went straight down the middle. There was a row of lanes on the left, another row of lanes on the right!

Today's events in a nutshell: The FBI raided LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho's @LAUSDSup home and DTLA offices today, along with an address in Miami - all apparently connected to a sham, now defunct Boston startup AllHere Carvalho's longtime friend Debra Kerr going back to his Miami days was a salesperson for AllHere the now defunct scam company that was awarded a $6 million taxpayer-funded contract by @LAUSD In bankruptcy court records Kerr, a self-described salesperson for AllHere says she is owed $630,000 from the sham firm Kerr's son Richard was an AllHere exec who apparently pitched his mom's pal the Superintendent on "Ed" a $6 million contract for an AI chatbot that never materialized after the money was paid AllHere's founder, a former @BostonSchools teacher and @Harvard grad, Joanna Smith-Griffin, was locked up by the feds in 11/24 for ripping off investors to the tune of $10 million. Some funds, feds say, paid for her ultra fancy three-day wedding. Other stolen monies allegedly helped her buy a mansion in North Carolina But, there is no federal docket associated with her indictment. So.... Seems to me there is a lot more to it, if Smith-Griffin is facing a 30-year sentence for her “petty fraud”. Is all fraud by nature “petty”?
