PSG could not -PSG needed a penalty, conceded by Arsenal’s 3rd string RB, to score at all -Outside of that penalty, PSG did not record a shot on target inside the box until the 117th minute -PSG needed a penalty shootout to win the game Casual fans will look at the possession and the shots, without understanding that Arsenal allowed PSG to have the ball and shoot it from non-threatening areas on purpose At the end of the day, PSG deserved to win, because they stepped up when it mattered But anybody suggesting that Arsenal didn’t play well, or didn’t execute their plan to perfection, is either lying to you for interactions, or they are genuinely incapable of analyzing the game that they just watched It really is that simple, at the end of the day

Joking aside, genuine question for Arsenal fans… Would you rather have won the league and lost the UCL final, or gone out earlier in Europe so the season ended on more of a high?

Chelsea lost their first UCL final in 2008 on pens. Man City lost their first UCL final. United lost their last 2 UCL finals in 2009 and 2011. Liverpool lost 2 UCL finals in 2018 and 2022. It's normal. All we need to do is keep arriving here. And we WILL get over the line.

For me there are two non-negotiables for pens: 1) Never attempt an elaborate run-up. 2) Never allow your CB (unless a technician) to take a pen when midfielders or attackers are available. Eze, Zubimendi, Noni - not acceptable. At this level it’s simply unacceptable.

PSG what a team, they’re most likely winning in again next season since they found the glitch of benching players in Ligue 1 and focusing on UCL. No other Elite team in Europe can do that.

Gabriel's a man who steps up for the big moments, who relishes pressure. He strikes a ball pretty well too. Plenty of defenders score penalties, including Beraldo and Hakimi. Let's not go down the nonsense route of why didn't x player take it.
