Another set of killings and kidnappings in Kwara. The ones in Oyo are yet to be rescued. A government that can’t protect its people is a failed government. This government is a failed one!

RICH IN FRIENDS, POOR IN RICHES: THE ADAMU ADAMU STORY I once saw a former minister leave office without a personal car, waiting for a friend to pick him up after handing over. If I had not witnessed it myself, I probably would not have believed it. In a system where public office is often treated as a shortcut to wealth, the sight was both rare and striking. Good leaders still exist, though they are few and far between. Mallam Adamu Adamu is one of them. An accountant by training and a respected veteran journalist, Mallam Adamu entered public service with little more than his reputation and left in much the same condition. He never built another house for himself. Apart from the modest four-bedroom house he owned in Azare before becoming a minister, that remains all he has to his name. Today, he is alive and well, yet lives modestly—not out of misfortune, but by choice. He saw money in office and refused to touch what was not his. Such restraint is rare. In Nigeria’s political culture, where access to public funds is too often mistaken for entitlement, Mallam Adamu’s conduct stands out because it reflects what public service ought to be: serving without helping oneself to the public treasury. Generosity was another of his defining qualities. He was never afraid of being poor because he spent what little he had supporting those with even less. Students, widows, and young journalists who crossed his path can testify to his kindness. He may not possess material wealth, but he is rich in relationships—surrounded by friends, former colleagues, and loyal associates who remain loyal without expecting anything in return. Our friendship dates back to his days at the New Nigerian Newspaper, where his reputation for discipline, honesty, and frankness was already well established. What I saw then remains unchanged today. At a time when corruption scandals are measured in trillions, Mallam Adamu Adamu’s life is a reminder that integrity in public service is still possible. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Adamu Adamu belongs in the tradition of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Nigeria’s first Prime Minister, and Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto—leaders who chose duty over personal gain and left behind legacies of honour and service. He entered office poor. He left office poor. Yet in doing so, he preserved something far more enduring: his name.

The problem with the average Nigerian man is they're easily influenced by peer pressure. Men who are still in their 20s or 30s wanting to become rich overnight whereas it took men of generation before us decades to achieve financial success. These criminals go out there spoiling the name of other Nigerians and then wonder why other countries are imposing strict rules for Nigerians before allowing them in their country? When we have young men incapable of doing something genuine and productive with their youth but rather bring in bad PR for Nigerians, you shouldn't be surprised why Nigeria passport is an automatic red flag in most countries. At the end of the day, an average Nigerian isn't different from the corrupt politicians they condemn. What a shame!

😅 Don't get me started. I'm sure you don't know who you're responding to. My page was opened specifically for the Ibo, if you must know. A simple search will reveal that to you easily. From my exchanges with the man you called another Savior, when he was still roaming freely, to rest with sharp mouths. As terrible as the Fulani terrorists are, we are more irritated with the Ibo for good reasons, and your leaders know it.

"As she's crying for help from everyone, why didn't she also mention or beg the Muslim association of Nigeria, their leadership in Sokoto, and all the foot soldiers in Yoruba land?" someone around me asked. "She has been begging them face-to-face since the day of their abduction," was my response. The man who begged them the most was beheaded right before their eyes, so please pray instead that she will continue to direct her plea to those she mentioned. Growing up as a little boy in Yorubaland, I recall wondering what it means when I hear "t'ọ́wọ́ mi ba tẹ ẹ́, máa dá sheria fún ẹ", so I asked an elderly man around, " What is Sheria? "Merciless punishment, leaving no room for repentance", he told me. I have busted my brain and am not able to put a finger on why the Yoruba people must remain in any form of union with both the Fulani and the Ibo in particular. I can't see any benefit in it. I found my solace in "O ye Ọlọhun".

It is amazing how despite our sincere religious faith, nothing could assuage our impatient sexual curiosity or erotic obsessions. That’s how you distinguish nature from nurture. Without over-buttressing the point, there’s a reason, and if you think too hard you’ll understand.

In a village near Owo, Ondo State, Fulani kidnappers invaded to abduct residents. The community's head hunter placed powerful Yoruba jùjú on the land as protection. As soon as the attackers stepped onto it, they fell into a deep sleep, allowing locals to apprehend them. Jùjú is not to be trifled with.

Moral: Most people who attack you do so because they feel they can beat you. If you stand your ground and they see signs that they cannot win, the tide turns in your favor and the prey becomes the predator. As a man, you must ONLY be scared of a superior opponent/predator and act accordingly to preserve yourself. Whatever you do, never voluntarily become the prey‼️ Teach your sons this early enough in life.

Men, take note: It’s not compulsory for your wife to take your surname after marriage. There’s no law in Nigeria that forces a woman to change her surname to her husband’s. Trying to pressure or force her to do so can be seen as a v!olation of her fundamental rights and it can attract legal consequences for you as a man. At the end of the day, it’s her choice. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

When I saw this picture where Peter Obi is seated amongst Dangote, Femi Otedola and Tony Elumelu; I begin to imagine how Peter Obi managed to be among these billionaires at that young age. And I'm just finding out now that Peter Obi was doing $21 million dollars per annum as far back as 2001. Honestly, I think we're ridiculously underestimating Peter Obi's wealth.

Very good! Now that we are burying the hatchet, I can say one or two unsolicited 2cents about this whole thing. -• The resignation (for whatever frustrations you felt) could have been done privately. -• This apology should have come yesterday (if you knew you weren’t gon be doubling down). -• Overtime, I have learnt to trust PO’s process even more. As a young person doing business in this country, the leading party have been nothing but frustrating with policies and skyrocketing cost of operation. It reflects sometimes into a transferred aggression to how subtle opposition parties have been, but trust me, they are looking for anything possible to tag ‘treason’ to this man’s name (since mudslinging tag of corruption couldn’t stick). That aggression towards government rebellion, should NOT come from him (if you truly love the man). Long story short, be patient and trust Peter Obi’s process wholeheartedly my brother🙏🏽

Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement. I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down. To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down. I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this. Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly. With humility and hope for forgiveness, Your brother in this struggle, Morris Monye. Oya come let’s hug. 😊
