The anti-seed oil argument is based exclusively on weak, circumstantial evidence. Looking through all available evidence, the case for harm receives virtually no support; in fact, seed oils appear beneficial!

The seed oil debate doesn't concern me. Regardless of their health impact, I never buy them because they're inferior ingredients; bland or outright unpleasant, which makes them culinarily irrelevant in my kitchen. Good meals deserve butter or olive oil. Don't settle for less.

@Duderichy They're bad for you in the sense that they're high calorie, low nutrient foods that are easy to overconsume. But they're not magically worse than other sources of added fat.

It’s the heating of the oils. They easily oxidize and produce dangerous compounds. This is why fried food from fast food chains can be intrinsically deleterious.
There are MANY studies on this, even studies in which scientists are working out a solution to this problem.
Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid so no one is arguing specifically about Linoleic acid in its unadulterated form.
