Tragic news about Ilebaye and the assault she allegedly experienced at the hands of her father 💔 - Earlier today, the Big Brother All Stars winner, Ilebaye, went live on Instagram to cry out for help. - In the video, a man could be seen aggressively hitting her, while teenage boys in the background were heard begging him not to harm her. - A Twitter Space was later held where a lady identified as Meme revealed that Ilebaye’s mum allegedly endured years of abuse in the marriage before fleeing for her life a few years ago. - According to Meme, the father allowed the mum to leave with the girls but refused to give her custody of the boys. - The boys reached out to Ilebaye, telling her they had not been living well. Ilebaye informed her mum about it, but her mum warned her not to return to the house because the man was powerful and dangerous. - Ilebaye, who was supposed to celebrate her birthday yesterday, decided to visit the house for the sake of her brothers, hoping her dad would be gentle with her because it was her birthday, only to be met with severe beatings and a battered face. - Tacha, Beauty Tukura, and other influencers called out for help online, begging anyone in Abuja to assist her. - Tacha also revealed that she had often wondered why Ilebaye was not very active or productive online, saying she sometimes questioned her without knowing she was dealing with family issues. - Meme further said that after Ilebaye’s live video ended, police officers arrived at the house, but the father refused them entry and released dogs at the gate. - She also claimed that the father is well connected, making it difficult to stand up against him. - Beauty later revealed that Ilebaye had finally been rescued, although Ilebaye herself is yet to publicly address the situation. - Twitter users have been reacting to the situation, saying people never truly know what others are battling privately, while fans continue to pray for her recovery. Earlier today at about 2:31pm along Uturu Road near Abia State University (ABSU), I experienced one of the most traumatizing moments of my life. I boarded a mini bus to get an item back to my lodge when some policemen without name tags stopped our vehicle at a checkpoint. They ordered me to step down, which I peacefully did. Immediately, they collected another passenger’s phone and began interrogating him aggressively about what he does for a living. Moments later, one of them turned to me and asked why I was using 3 phones. I calmly explained to them that I am a student and that the phones were bought with my hard-earned money. Instead of listening, they dragged me, my brother, and another passenger into a nearby bush and started harassing us for absolutely no reason. Before we knew what was happening, more officers joined them and they began beating us mercilessly like criminals, even though we were just students who came to ABSU to study and build our future. My brother and I sustained serious injuries during the assault. My ear is currently blocked, I can barely hear properly, and it has been bleeding because of the torture we faced in the hands of these officers...my phone screen also got broken. The most painful part was the constant threats they made. They said they could shoot us and nothing would happen. They also said they could make sure we never graduate from school. Imagine hearing such terrifying words from the same people meant to protect citizens. My only “crime” was owning 3 phones. ABSU students are no longer feeling safe. Police harassment, intimidation, and extortion around Uturu are becoming unbearable. Students are living in fear every day.
