I was installing War of Steel earlier on the new computer and was reminded yet again of how awesome @PLAYA3ULL_GAMES is. When so many other projects have made promises about games under development, only to flounder and waste millions (sometimes billions) of dollars, Playa3ull stands as a constant reminder that well-run crypto gaming companies CAN happen, that crypto gaming isn't black magic or a mythical unicorn, and that there are legitimate companies out there. It's had its bumps, and the token is nowhere near the price it deserves, but jeez they've been productive. In short.... Playa3ull rocks, and I appreciate all the hard work I've seen over the last year. Keep up the great work.

This is simply an obstacle course at Marine Corps boot camp. It was something you had to run through dozens of times and was nothing special. This is (or at least was), a typical part of training for any recruit to become a US Marine. The Confidence Course was different, had much higher obstacles, to include a rappelling tower. She's obviously not a recruit, probably there for a special event, but the DI's look legit. She's doing a great job at it, making it look easy

This quick video from @timboslice21x is 100% worth the watch. In my first conversation with Jason I said I had reservations about Eric coming from silicon valley and the prevalent "Anything goes, nothing is evil as long as it makes money" mindset held there. Jason assured me that Eric was different. I haven't seen anything to back up that claim. Quite the opposite. Life isn't fair, so I have no idea if he'll be held accountable for all the lies and betrayals. I guess we'll see.

My opinion on why @coinbase does not have $GALA in the Coin50. This may clear it up for you @Benefactor0101 🙏

I found it in the general Discord channel. They may be waiting for a closer date for the official announcement. Evidently we'll only need to run one node at first. Any other nodes in the wallet will be counted online as long as one is running the software. I'll post more info as I get it.

There's been a lot to catch up on with @PLAYA3ULL_GAMES For those with nodes, it looks like nodes will require software to be running on Oct 14th. If you haven't already locked down a hosting solution, check out @nerdnode1 who plans on supporting Playa3ull nodes with their service. From the Playa3ull Discord - - Master Node Software Mainnet Release: October 14th - DAPP Re-design Mainnet Release: December 2nd - Purchase 3ULL coins on the DAPP Mainnet with Credit Card: November 1st - Bridge & Crosschain migration to Avalanche Teleporter: End Of Year - Ordinem Mainnet Release: October 22nd - Nexus VFX/UI Update (PTR) Release: October 25th - Nexus VFX/UI Update (Prod) Release: November 11th - Dogs Of War Closed Alpha Release: December 2024 A lot more is coming! I'm already replenishing bags and nodes again. Sucks that I gotta do that, but at least the price is affordable for buying back in. I have a feeling a lot of folks won't know about the software requirements; so spread the word to anyone you know who has a license already. We'll see how much the daily distro jumps when these changes go live.

I host my Gala nodes via NerdNode and it was as simple as setting up an account and passing over some API keys. We don't know how Playa3ull is handling the software yet, but I'd expect it to be easy. Especially since, at least to start with, you'll only need to run one instance of the software no matter how many nodes you run.

Six months of silence. It's not like there wasn't plenty to talk about, but I took a few steps back from crypto after losing about 100k of wallets. I wish I had some cool boat story here, but it was a simple hard drive crash along with a run of bad luck on backup recovery. Moral of the story would be don't store anything important on M2 drives, make sure your backup services are working, and if your seeds are anywhere but in a safe deposit box, go make sure they're where you think they are. Anywho, hard drive crash also wiped out all of my resources for Gala vids, so I'm having to start from scratch. Now that I can talk about crypto again without wanting to punch life in the nuts, I'll be working on those again. Hope everyone has been doing well, and seriously, go check your backup and seed phrase locations.

It's about six months later than I hoped for, but @GAMEDIA_GAMES has finally made a public statement about the current issues with @GoGalaGames. Much of this isn't new to those who have been following the court cases, but it's nice to see them publicly stand behind what they've been alluding to for so long. Until now, we've only gotten Gala's side of things. What a mess.

@GoGalaGames President of Blockchain, and over a dozen others resign to take unpaid advisory positions, while also starting up another company/org to embrace all of web3 and push Galachain adoption (I think? It's fuzzy...) Gala continues to shed salaried positions and aggressively downsize. That's not always a bad thing, but if they had problems delivering products before, I have a hard time seeing how this will improve things. I'm sure there will be a lengthy blog post incoming about how this is all for the community's benefit and the future is so bright it'll melt your face off. Best of luck to those who resigned. I have no doubt there was some sort of guarantee to make it easy on you. Make sure you don't get rugged, there's a lot of it going around.

Maybe a smidge, but the sell pressure from P2E isn't huge. 1,000,000 $3ULL hitting the market everyday is only $2300 at current prices, 10k'sh at ATH. I can't see it moving the needle that much. There were a few things that also were happening - The cooling of the Becker craze, some discord drama that resulted in some whales selling off, the market pump where folks were rapidly swapping out node earnings for meme coins. There are some regular sales from node earnings, but I think most of the downward pressure is due to speculators who are selling off tokens (at a loss atm). I've been letting my node earnings accumulate, but if it keeps dropping it'll be tough not to grab some more. In the mean time I'll let the nodes do their thing. That's what makes them wonderful.

I've gotten plenty of DMs asking for a @GoGalaGames rant on the current Mirandus and TWDE news. First of all, I don't do rants! I do calm and thoughtful essays. If those essays are scathing or salty, then that's only because the subjects deserve it.:P Really, there's been plenty of quality coverage already about the newest mess that Gala finds itself in, and I don't see much need to rehash it all. I will toss out a few things that I haven't seen mentioned. According to Gala, this handoff to the Chilean team has been in the works for months. McCarthy and the other devs aren't idiots. 99 times out of 100, when a more "cost-effective" team is brought on to "help" you do your job, you're looking at your eventual replacement. The fact we haven't seen a rush of online resumes from either team in the last few months implies that they were receiving assurances that their jobs were safe, or those devs felt confident the Chilean team couldn't succeed without them. Maybe both? Either way, the fact that both teams got the axe on the same day seems to point to something coming to a head. Maybe an ultimatum was given. Maybe a bluff was called. Who knows? My DMs are open if someone wants to share. The word today is that McCarthy has officially quit; which wouldn't be much of a surprise, if true. Nobody likes having total control of a project taken away from them. There would likely be only frustration in his future if he stuck around. I'm guessing he's one of the larger shareholders in Gala Games after the Sandbox Games acquisition in 2021; so he'll probably still be "with" Gala in one form or another. In the grand scheme of things, this was a serious blow to Gala's already tottering public image. Most of their relationships with outside studios end up in lawsuits or canceled games. The internal teams, like McCarthy's, were looked upon by many as the last hope for getting an actual game released and not just an MVP. Many people also credited McCarthy as the reason why Mirandus had avoided the constant NFT money grabs that Gala has become known for. Granted, Mirandus pulled in millions on its early NFT sales; so I'd imagine the coffers were pretty full for a while there. Speaking of Gala's coffers, Jason let slip that Gala has locked on 100m in funding "if needed." The usual questions arise of what terms/collateral were offered to get that 100m, but we probably won't get those answers. While Jason said in that post that money isn't the issue, more and more evidence is piling up that seems to point to the contrary. You don't get 100m in additional funding unless you're expanding, or at least somewhat worried about the future. Mass layoffs, internal teams are being replaced with cheaper, offshore options, and deals being made(@DWF-research/the-galachain-ecosystem-solidifies-alliance-with-dwf-labs-to-grow-its-l1-ecosystem-3658835fcb29" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@DWF-research/…) with companies accused of price manipulation (#ip=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">google.com/search?q=DWF+L…), all point to the latter more than the former. GALA's halvening is fast approaching, when Gala Games' daily distribution revenue will be... halved. The rumor mill was that Eric had a target in mind for GALA to reach before the halving and was doing everything he could to get there; otherwise, some hard decisions would need to be made. We're still quite a ways from the number I heard bandied about, so maybe all these shakeups are him getting in front of that halvening. Again... who knows? I do wish the devs affected the best, and I know there are plenty of projects looking to hire talented individuals who actually believe in Web3 Gaming. @PLAYA3ULL_GAMES is one of those, so if you or someone you love/respect/admire has recently received the axe, hit me up in DM's, and I'll point you to the appropriate people. And yes, yes, the 2021 video is still being worked on. Sandbox Games (McCarthy's former company) was acquired at the beginning of 21 and many of the pseudo-sales like the Polyient Citadel were made around the same time. I'm still gathering info about those for the video, and I'll drop an update here when it goes live. That's it for now. Hope you're doing well, despite all the red in the portfolio recently. Cheers! @frugalbc @GoGalaGames Thanks :) The latest Nexus patch introduced some interesting mechanics, but there's still a ways to go on the tokenomics side. What they have works, but what they have planned will be much better in the long run.

Eh, initial Becker hype was nice, but hardly sustainable. What will make or break them is the delivery of fun, P2E products. Things like more exchange listings, marketing pushes, will also help, but product delivery is the big one IMO. I like the direction they're going and I've said before that I respect the team's work ethic and agility. These sub .01 token prices are tasty; so I've just been accumulating. I don't expect much of a return for at least six months to a year. NFA, etc, etc

We'll probably never know the true details about how much oversight the team was getting. Vox was in a similar situation, where the executive team seemed to have no idea on what work was getting done. At the very least, this points an org problem, because someone in a leadership role should have had their finger on the pulse of both projects.
