Imagine Iran killed Trump in the first 5 minutes of the war, established air superiority over the US mainland, wiped out the entire US Air Force, US Navy, killed half the Cabinet, flattened the US military industrial complex, then started building runways in Missouri to land Iranian troops without losing any casualties. Would you say it was a US victory if the US managed to keep the Panama Canal closed throughout this all?

If you constantly tell yourself you're losing, looking for negativity, YOU become a loser. It imprints on your personality. And it strips you from doing what you need to do to win. This is why "ironically" describing yourself with negative attributes can backfire and actually turn you into a joke. I once dated a woman who facetiously, constantly called herself "crazy." I told her eventually that her doing this for so long imprinted on her personality and made her crazier (and she did some pretty crazy stuff that, when I tell people about our relationship, makes them go "UH WHY TF WERE YOU DATING HER"). Approach life from the perspective that you're a winner who's going to win. Then you start acting like a winner.
