At this point, the ideal "needs" based scenario for the Giants for me is a trade down to pick up a 3rd, and then nab Mauigoa/Ioane at 8, a 2 gapper DT (take your pick - Hunter/Miller/etc) and then think there's going to be some CB or S value in the 3rd.

That's not outrageous. As you said, the return would be everything. How's this? NYG get: No. 9, No. 29, No. 74 KC gets: No. 5, No. 37 So basically KC moves up four spots in 1st, Giants move up seven spots from 2nd to 1st, and then get a third-round pick. Would you do that?

#Miami OT Francis Mauigoa, potentially the top tackle in the Draft, has decided to be at Combine Rechecks on Friday for additional imaging on a minor back issue that caused him some discomfort late in the season, sources say.   Mauigoa started 42 straight games in college, including all 16 this season, and upon full professional consultation is not considered a candidate for immediate surgery. He did perform fully at his Pro Day and currently is symptom-free. But some teams have asked for additional testing on a disc issue and with nothing to hide, Mauigoa heads to Indy.

The #Giants really put themselves in a bind in the first 2 rounds of this draft. Now they have to force their way to make a guard pick regardless of how the board falls. - Round 1 is Francis Mauigoa or reach for Vega Ioane - Round 2 force a Chase Bisontis or Keylan Rutledge pick w/ DTs like Lee Hunter, Peter Woods, and Christian Miller potentially on the board. Not a great way to manage your roster.
