@ottheorypraxis I find it describes it well for neurotypicals to understand. But in my sessions with the client , I always explain that being over responsive actually means you are better at detecting sensory stimuli, and I always try to include the strengths this can bring have.

I use it, but only alongside more functional reports as evidence for families who may be on the waiting list for an ADHD assessment. I do actually like scoring it, as it’s able to tell you if the rater is reliable.

@MovingOTs I normally don’t look at Ot specifically but more evidence around physical health and different mental health conditions. There is lots of evidence to support this, even in favour of medication.

@OT_Hammo @MovingOTs @Lisa_D_OT It's slow, not helped by small classrooms but teachers are getting it. Instead of giving them more to do I stress how they can incorporate more movement into times kids would be waiting, on the carpet etc #OTalk
