If you could sell 40 low delta puts a month on $QQQ & make $5,000 in options income would you do it? Seems like the ultimate retirement plan

agreed but the post was just stating short puts, not the wheel or anything. In some markets the wheel does outperform qqq - something else to consider would be Short term gains tax , with the shares you could have long term gains @ 0% - i think most people just like the gratification of options expiring otm

@OT_Tracker @DarkMiner So this is a great response. BUT… What if I used all my premium collected to buy shares? Buy LEAPS? Sell covered calls? Obviously as a retirement only strategy it’s not efficient. BUT…if you’re already near retirement and only want cashflow, then it varies.

@DarkMiner @joeytee_ we are talking a 40% gain difference. i dont know about you but i would rather buy shares, sell them as i need them and have an extra 40% gain a year vs a lousy 6% return a year from the short puts at a low delta with added risk.

@OT_Tracker @joeytee_ You can’t retire or pull a monthly draw to pay bills off buying shares and never selling

@joeytee_ @DarkMiner it is not "low risk' it would underperform $QQQ with higher risk than QQQ - better off just buying shares of qqq and holding

@DarkMiner selling puts on any company is incredible and a great way to make money. But selling puts on $QQQ is a great way to build a low risk cash flow machine.

@DarkMiner No, you would under perform QQQ with added risk.

$SOFI is so weak right now… So while I’m waiting, I’ll continue to sell covered calls

$SOFI shorts trying to hold this one down so hard it’s comical Today it jumped to $19.58/share or 5.13% before shorts yet again are loading the boat trying to push it down Here soon there will be a day where this won’t work for them and the squeeze will begin
