As someone who is/was heavily involved in the Bowthorpe Anti-Illegal Immigration Protests, I want to publicly say what I said in private: The way that young man was treated by our activists - and some, even organisers - was absolutely disgraceful, and should not have happened. We had a meeting about this after I saw the footage, and agreed that this should not have happened. Similar situations arose when reporters from @EDP24 turned up. Again, I saw these reactions as shocking. I would like to publicly - and privately, if possible - apologise to him for the actions of others shown in this video, and what may have happened behind closed doors (social media, personal relations, et cetera). I have stepped away as organiser due to mental health concerns, however I do hope that in the future, the protests at the Brook Hotel can remain civil.

This is disgusting. A local lad came out to give his opinion to the media, and when the thugs didn't like what he was saying, they chased him and called him a pedo.

As I get older I get more and more interested in politics. I’ve been sitting here this morning thinking what could help the UK, and I have made up some bullet points that i think we would all benefit from . Let me know what you think:- Look after Local Business and give them incentives: Make policies that provide tax breaks and grants for small businesses and local pubs, restarunts & gyms encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation. By supporting our local economy, we can ensure that money stays within our communities and helps everyone thrive and earn more. Let’s support local and make our communities proud again. Focus on Skills Training and Apprenticeships for Kids: We gotta Invest in training programs and apprenticeships that help kids with practical skills needed to get the job they want. By connecting education with local industries, we can create pathways for well paid jobs for the next generation to succeed and smash life. Celebrate Local Culture and Heritage: Let’s face it, the UK is the absolute governor. Let’s Champion the unique character of our history and heritage. Let’s use our pubs and community spaces as cultural hubs. By promoting events, festivals, and activities that highlight local history, we can strengthen community bonds and support the businesses that bring us together. I absolutely love learning about the history of where I live now and I’m sure many more would. Encourage Financial Education in schools: I always struggled to look after my finances as a young man. Let’s Introduce financial programs in schools to teach children essential money management skills.
