Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement. I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down. To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down. I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this. Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly. With humility and hope for forgiveness, Your brother in this struggle, Morris Monye. Oya come let’s hug. 😊

This wasn’t given as a handball earlier in the season. No controversy, no PGMOL apologies the next day, no match officials relieved of their duties the next week. Yet a ball bounces up off Mbeumo’s hip in a dead rubber fixture and the world was on fire.

@wandypee @ChuksEricE I don't think a person needs to speak fluent English to pass that police training. It's literally the least requirement for a police officer. Pidgin is okay for me. Yes he should understand the code of conduct.

This is the basic problem. You can't recruit illiterates into the police force and expect diligence. How did he pass the police training? If the minimum educational requirements is SSCE, at least passing English and Maths should be compulsory. For him to make this video and post it online, it means he doesn't understand the Police Code of Conduct and he carries a riffle. Shame!

@KelWhyte0001 @special_Ada_Ide @Morris_Monye @trigottista @Karigwe She shouldn't have called him idiot. That established. You won't waste your time exchanging words with a woman?? You do realise there are many, many women smarter, wiser, stronger, more powerful, wealthy, etc. than you are right? Some of whom you probably even call 'Ma' already

@WATSS_MCFC Hang on a minute. Only 6-days ago yr team was the beneficiary of some unbelievably bad officiating. However, I agree, West Ham were screwed over with a decision that could decide their PL status. Harsh.

Corruption At It’s Finest 🤷‍♂️ I Will Never Acknowledge Arsenal As PL Champions 25/26 If They End Up ‘Winning’ the League Due To Bias Officiating! If I Was A West Ham Fan, I Would Sue The Premier League. CHEATS! #WHUARS

@Londonblue_2 @toffee_tower He pulled his arm, but he didn't fall. He went pn to run forward and played the ball. if he'd fallen when he was pulled it may have been called. But as you can see the pull (which wasn't exactly a firm pull) didn't cause him to fall

@toffee_tower With respect mate, you must be blind not to see him pulling his arm. Now I’m not saying this should be a pen every time, but using your logic that there was contact on the original clip this is clear. We can’t pick and choose.

Anyone who watches football for more tha 30 seconds know what’s gonna happen here. This isn’t just an isolated Arsenal problem btw. Refs have made this the norm by constantly permitting it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Arsenal had an easy route to the Champions League final: R16 vs Leverkusen QF vs Sporting CP SF vs Atletico Madrid Nothing special here tbh, they are only lucky plus fluke but trust me Bayern/PSG will do the needful. #UCL #ARSATM

Do you know why Kevin De Bruyne provides many assists and was vital for Manchester city's dominance in EPL 🤔 Kevin used to take risks with his passing and one day he said he better lose many balls trying to create an assist than keep it and recycle it. Eberechi Eze does exactly the same. Fans say he loses many balls but if he didn't take the risk for example our second goal for Bukayo Saka by Spotting Viktor Gyokeres run then we wouldn't have score. Martin Ødegaard in such a situation would have looked to go backwards, recycle possession and keep the ball while Eze looked for the risky pass and how quickly he can progress play in the final third. Martin Ødegaard may just be following instructions while Eze is taking matters into his own hands. If you look at Mikel Arteta in this picture, he is telling Eze to keep the ball but he decided to pass it forward and it led to Saka's goal. In this scenario, Martin Ødegaard would have listened to the mikel Arteta and kept the ball, while Eze refused to listen and took the risk that it led to a goal ⚽✅ Y

@Bakrshah1 @WelBeast @usen08 As much as I would like to watch matches at little or no cost, I don't think he shouldn't be punished for it. It was wrong. My issue is that a rapist gets 5 years, a pedophile gets 7, same country, and this guy gets 11 with a possible 21. How?!?!?!!!

The broadcasters pay billions for broadcasting rights! They invest millions on infrastructure, the higher pundits who get paid millions and yet you support someone just stealing their content just bcs you want to watch it for free? May God not allow people rip you off your hardwork, if I was stealing your online content and making money off it, would you not demand that im struck off for copyright?

If he sets up a GofundMe to raise the £2.35M I’ll gladly chip in and rally others to do so as well. No one should go to prison for making the game affordable and accessible to everyone. The only reason he’s going to jail is because he took profits off greedy broadcasters.

In years to come, absolutely nobody will look back on this season and remember a single game that Arsenal have won. Never seen such an undeserving team to be at the top of the table with the most boring football we have ever seen. Embarrassing small club #ARSFUL

@samson_samsen You've said some true true things but it's not entirely the truth. First and foremost, forgiveness is a good thing, and a good person does good out of the good stored in his heart. And goodness rests more on your kindness towards offense than your refusal to offend. In my opinion

The unforgiving person is the closest thing to a “good person,” even more so than the forgiving or empathetic person. A forgiving person is capable of forgiveness because he finds it easy to understand the behavior of those who offend him. This understanding is a function of possessing the capacity to act in a similar manner as those who offend him. He too is capable of hurting someone, and he knows it. However, a man who is incapable of forgiving people is equally repelled by offending them. He has a rigid but consistent ethical stance: he will not hurt, and he will not forgive when he is hurt. His lack of agency to be cruel to people mandates his lack of understanding for cruel character and thus makes him unforgiving of it. He will not forgive you for doing unto him what he cannot do to you. Right there is a good person.
