The Peanuts Movie was basically made as the swan song for Peanuts as a franchise and to celebrate Charles Schulz as a whole. It was the last major project before WildBrain/Sony Music Japan got joint ownership of the franchise, and all the new stuff gets sent to Apple TV+ hell.
