So a delegation from the 8th CPC visited, of all places, the National Defence Academy. There they had chai-samosa with some cadets. This charade of visiting places, including forward posts, is played out every time a CPC is constituted. Instead of these cosmetic steps, why don't they have a defence services officer on the Commission? Not that it's a guarantee of anything because the appointee is likely to be somebody "suitable" enough to be appointed CDS, but atleast it would be representation for the services and a seat at the table.

Three things keeping the Indian mind fully occupied: Elections, Cricket, and Bollywood. Meanwhile, “real issues” are still waiting for their prime-time debut.

Does anyone really believe India will still have elections in 2029?

Assam and Bengal are clear cases of the election being stolen by the BJP with the support of the EC. We agree with Mamata ji. More than 100 seats were stolen in Bengal. We have seen this playbook before: Madhya Pradesh. Haryana. Maharashtra. Lok Sabha 2024 etc चुनाव चोरी, संस्था चोरी - अब और चारा ही क्या है!

27 Lakh Voters were deleted in West Bengal. These were not 'dead people' or 'bangladeshis'. These were real people who had already appealed to get their votes restored. The Supreme court could’ve delayed the West Bengal elections until the tribunals finished hearing the appeals of these voters. But they didn’t. Only around 1607 voters were restored in time by phase 2 of these elections. Almost every appeal that was heard turned out to be a wrongful deletion. In any functional democracy, this would not count as a free and fair election where a large section of voters have lost their voting rights. I'm not saying that TMC would've won for sure if they were added back, maybe BJP would still win, but the question is about the fairness of these elections. Free and fair elections are a spectrum. Ever since Delhi-Maharashtra-Bihar-Bengal, this needle has moved more and more towards being unfair. Each time somehow the opposition parties participate as usual in the electoral process thinking that they can still pull of a win despite the compromised EC, ED, CBI etc. and each time they have been proven wrong after 2024 Lok Sabha. The question is, at what point will they feel that the level of unfairness is so unfair that elections should be boycotted? I personally feel TMC should have refused to participate in these elections until all those 27 lakh appeals were finished being heard.

@RoshanKrRaii It’s pertinent that elections in India is won on emotional ecstasy and not real issues.

As per media reports, Aman Sharma called his father on Friday night at 10 pm that he is being subjected to extreme mental torture since 2 months & he doesn't want to live anymore His father immediately left Alwar & arrived in Delhi but when he went to his son's house, his DIL didn't let him enter the house & said if he entered, she will call police Helpless, he called her family but realised all of them had blocked him. Last he heard his son from outside, he was crying while his wife was shouting. Social media is now full of testimonies of people who knew him personally - well behaved, very amiable, introvert, helpful and a bright young man. Gone just too soon :( @ekamnyaay

Today we learnt that if you destroy 1 cr trees of one of the oldest growth forests in the world to build port/hotels/casinos then you can build a township of ~3L people in one of the most seismically active zones in the world and you also get to call it your own Strait of Chomuz.

🔴 ZERO IMMUNITY TO CRITICISM 🔴 A message to all retired personals on the internet- You are free to support any political party. That's your democratic right. But serving in the armed forces doesn’t grant you impunity from criticism. Your uniform, your Shauryas, Kirtis or Chakras aren't a shield for your bigotry or bootlicking. Once you retire and enter the political arena, through affiliations or leanings you will be questioned. You previous service is not a free pass for corporate lobbying & pushing paid propoganda on the internet. You can't invoke "I served here, I served there, I was awarded this" to shut down scrutiny. Every True Indian respects Indian armed forces, but you cannot use that respect for scoring personal political brownie points. If you step into the ring, expect punches. Your medals explain your past. They aren't an excuse for your present or future. Thanks. Jai Hind!

🔴 MAJOR DIGVIJAY SINGH RAWAT- "THE NATIONALIST" 🔴 Trained on taxpayers money, didn't complete his service, opted for premature retirement, enjoys pension and other perks only to join his WIFE Divya rawat in the US. Her wife studied on taxpayers money in a government college in India, used that degree to shift to the US to serve americans. Both now live in the US, serve americans and talk about loyalty and NATIONALISM.

Watermelon has disappeared in the local market in the area where a Mumbai family of 4 died after consuming it in a meal combined with Biryani. A team of FDA trying to locate the source of the suspected watermelon didn't find any vendor in the local market.
