During the Morning Breeze show on @nbstv , @SimonKaggwaNjal hosted former LoP Mathias Mpuuga and proudly claimed that Mr President Bobi Wine is on a “wild goose run.” For the record, a wild goose chase means a foolish, hopeless, and frustrating pursuit of something believed to be unattainable or nonexistent. But it is quite ironic hearing that from a journalist who once tested the waters in politics and lost miserably, yet now sits comfortably in a studio mocking a man who is literally running for his life after the regime violently invaded his home and committed crimes against his family. It takes a special level of arrogance to ridicule someone risking everything for freedom, while you speak safely from a microphone after failing to convince even voters to trust you with leadership. You should be ashamed old man!

This morning, the party leadership alongside the newly elected leaders addressed the press in light of the prevailing political climate and the malpractices endured in the just concluded polls. It was established that the criminal regime deployed all sorts of measures to ensure that several of our candidates get denominated while those who made it to the ballot were frustrated using coercive measures to enable the rigging for the regime candidates. Over 50 of our MP aspirants who won their respective constituencies were frustrated by the regime at the tally center and the polling stations. Despite all these irregularities, we were able to register 51 victories in an election that was largely ceremonial and a selection process. Even in the aftermath of the polls, there are combined regime efforts to furthermore shrink our numbers using the courts just like we witnessed in Masaka where the regime abused the law to ensure that their preferred candidate would emerge ‘victor’. In the Local Government polls, the regime Mayoral candidates were given the liberty to decide which councillors they preferred to work with and these were the ones that were declared even when they suffered defeat at the polling stations. Despite all this, we encourage all our candidates to seek legal redress and be on record to have challenged the illegalities even though the courts too are under captivity. The struggle for liberation and democracy is still on and giving up has never been an option. What we witnessed in the just concluded polls surpasses the malpractice that we witnessed previously in 2021. We pray for all our comrades who have been unjustly arrested for merely being polling agents, our senior party leaders like the three Deputy Presidents who are under persecution. #FreeUgandaNow

The official launch of maize grain buying in Obangangeo, Acaba sub-county - Oyam On December 19, 2025, @Jacilo2 Jane Frances Acilo, NRM candidate for the Oyam district woman MP seat, officially launched the maize grain buying for farmers across the district. As part of her core campaign agenda for the people of Oyam, Jane Frances Acilo distributed 1kg of maize seeds to 10 households per village early this year, aiming to improve their household incomes. With beneficiaries of these improved seeds making bumper harvests, Frances promised to link farmers to a profitable market. She won't buy maize grains for herself but has linked farmers to a better buyer, Jane Frances Acilo Foundation (JFA) said on Friday. Bless Ajok, former NRM aspirant in the primary election for woman MP flag, said in Obangangeo that Jane has secured a market for farmers. Throughout her campaigns and at the launch on December 19, Jane asked farmers to make use of the 16 offices she has opened across sub-counties to register their names for a new round of maize seed distribution in February 2026. She also announced that a kilogram of maize seeds would be bought at not less than shs1,000, an amount beneficiaries of her maize seeds have described as “extraordinary.” Ibrahim Wamala, a producer-dealer with Bayne Corporation Limited, an international company sourced by the JFA Founder and Director, Jane, said once the people of Oyam stand with (Mama) Jane Frances Acilo, the Corporation will remain with the people. .
