@Truthdefense3 @Jessica_W_1776 Salvation is a free gift. Discipleship is costly. Discipleship is not a condition for salvation.

✝️ LORDSHIP TO JESUS IS THE ONLY TRUE SALVATION
🔍 Examine Yourself — Count the Cost
Before reading further, search your heart.
Jesus never called people to casual belief. He called them to discipleship.
🔹 “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23
Jesus warned us to count the cost (Luke 14:28).
The Christian life is not lip service, not halfway, and not a cultural label.
It is surrender to the Lord of the universe.
🔹 Jesus is Lord of all — or not Lord at all.
The Creator of the universe knows more than we do.
He knows your purpose.
He knows what leads to life.
Without being truly born again and walking in His will, we waste the life God has given us.
Jesus said:
🔹 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction… but small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and few find it.”
— Matthew 7:13–14
And Jesus gave this sobering warning:
🔹 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.”
— Matthew 7:21
📖 The Gospel Jesus Actually Preached
The gospel Jesus proclaimed was a call to discipleship — a call to follow Him in submissive obedience, not merely a plea to make a decision or repeat a prayer.
His message liberated people from the bondage of sin while confronting and condemning hypocrisy.
It offered:
🔹 Eternal life
🔹 Forgiveness
🔹 Freedom from sin
But it also warned sinners that they must:
🔹 Turn from sin
🔹 Embrace God's righteousness
🔹 Follow Christ as Lord
Jesus repeatedly warned those tempted to take salvation lightly.
He taught:
🔹 The cost of following Him is high
🔹 The way is narrow
🔹 Few find it
Yet today much of modern evangelicalism ignores these warnings.
The definition of saving faith has become broader and more shallow, while the presentation of Christ in preaching and witnessing has become vague and diluted.
Anyone who claims to be a Christian is often accepted at face value — even when their life shows no evidence of submission to Christ.
Faith has been reduced to an intellectual agreement rather than a life transformed by surrender to Christ.
Instead of calling people to yield their lives to Jesus, modern evangelism often asks them only to accept certain facts about Him.
This shallow view of salvation is commonly called:
⚠️ Easy-Believism
Easy-believism teaches that someone can receive Christ as Savior while rejecting Him as Lord.
But Scripture never presents such a gospel.
The biblical call to faith always includes repentance and submission to Christ's authority.
This is what is commonly referred to as:
✝️ Lordship Salvation
📜 The Biblical Distinctives of Lordship Salvation
There are foundational truths all true Christians affirm:
🔹 Christ's death purchased eternal salvation
🔹 Salvation is by grace through faith alone
🔹 No one can earn God's favor
🔹 Salvation is a gift of God
🔹 No pre-salvation works or reforms can save us
🔹 Christians can still sin — sometimes grievously
But Scripture also teaches truths that easy-believism rejects.
Below are nine biblical distinctives of true salvation.
🔹 1. Faith Is Joined With Repentance
Scripture teaches that the gospel calls sinners to repent and believe.
🔹 Acts 2:38
🔹 Acts 17:30
🔹 Acts 20:21
Repentance means turning from sin toward God.
It is not merely a change of opinion — it is a change of heart granted by God (Acts 11:18; 2 Timothy 2:25).
True repentance inevitably produces a change in behavior.
Easy-believism, however, teaches that repentance is unnecessary or merely another word for belief.
🔹 2. Salvation Is Entirely God's Work
Scripture teaches that salvation is completely God's work.
🔹 Titus 3:5
🔹 Ephesians 2:1–5, 8
Even faith itself is a gift from God.
True saving faith therefore endures because God sustains it (Philippians 1:6).
Saving faith is not merely believing facts about the gospel.
It is trusting and committing oneself to Christ.

English

Ummm. The gospel of Mark literally opens with Jesus calling on them to Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand and them confessing their sins. John says the same thing in his epistle, 1 John 1:9. Faith and repentance is a supernatural work of God and those who confess their sins and turn to Christ demonstrate that supernatural work in their lives.

I had the opportunity to sit down with @TrevorSheatz and @AshleySheatz to talk about the marriage testimony that broke the internet. I encourage you to watch the full video before drawing any conclusions. youtu.be/Dc4Jm7UnMg8?si…

@RayComfort Telling people to turn from their sins to be saved is an accursed gospel message which cannot save.

Speaking of Wrath
It's not enough to preach the Ten Commandments, or even to open up the spiritual nature of the Law. We must also preach Judgment Day and of the reality of Hell. Without the threat of punishment, no one will flee from the wrath that is to come. The thought of the existence of Hell will be scorned if the Law and the consequences of its transgression are not preached. Great damage has been done for the cause of the Gospel by "Hellfire" preachingthat is the preaching of Hell without the "reasoning" of the Law. But great damage has also been done by swinging the pendulum too far the other way, and never talking about these terrible realities. A failure to speak of God's wrath not only leaves sinners with the delusion that God isn't to be feared, but it also defuses evangelism of any sense of urgency.

Time to address the criticisms of our scandalous marriage story, share more details of Ashley’s testimony, and talk about promiscuity, virginity, and more.
Blessed to be interviewed by @RayComfort. Video coming within 24 hours or so to the Living Waters YouTube channel.

"There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance" (Luke 15:7).
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." (Matthew 9:12).
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:32).

She slept with more than 1000 men in just 12 hours. Now she got baptized and became a born-again virgin. Does Christianity forgive such women?

@Keir_Starmer This is a dangerous period for our country and we need a strong leader.
Unfortunately we have Keir Starmer instead.

@Keir_Starmer You are full of crap. You have allowed antisemitism to thrive in this country.

A Good Understanding
After speaking of the fear of the Lord, Psalm 111 says, "A good understanding have all they that do his commandments." It is the Commandments that make sinners and saints tremble. The Law puts the fear of God in our hearts. Sinners tremble when they have an understanding that the wrath of the Law calls for their blood. Saints tremble at the foot of a bloodied cross, because it was the Law that called for their blood, but instead shed the precious blood of the Savior. The Bible tells us that it is the fear of the Lord that makes men depart from sin both before and after the Cross. It doesn't disappear when we come to know His love. It continues to do its most necessary work: "The fear of the Lord tends to life: and he that has it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil."( Proverbs 19:23)

@WilliamGPeter1 @RayComfort No mate, your messages just don't make sense. I'm not sure if it is because English isn't your first language but I just don't have a clue what you are talking about.

@OctoStote3000 @RayComfort So, you're a blind guide, trying to lead others as this is what Christian Preachers are doing.

Our Moral State
Romans chapter three gives a stinging indictment of the moral state of humanity. It says that we are corrupt, ignorant, rebellious, and violent. Then it gives the cause of such a sinful state: "There is no fear of God before their eyes," and immediately swings the subject to God's Law ... the cure for the moral dilemma. Psalm 111:10 says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments." Therefore, preachthat which is the beginning of wisdom. Teach the true character of our Creator, using the Law to show His perfect righteousness. This is what God has used throughout history to bring about true revival. This is what He uses to awaken a lost and dying world. This is what Jesus did to show sinners that they needed a savior. Make sure you imitate Him.

@WilliamGPeter1 @RayComfort Sorry mate, I don't know what you are talking about.
English

@OctoStote3000 @RayComfort First you know your mind & it is inherited from your parents, predecessors that have their roots from adversary.
In order to replace the mind of God you need to remove it from you. Trusting Christ? So how does that happen & lead to change of mind?
English
Octostote retweetledi

@WilliamGPeter1 @RayComfort You are changing your mind from trusting in yourself to trusting in Christ alone.
English

@OctoStote3000 @RayComfort Repentance is a change of mind right? How do you change your mind?
If you want to change your mind then you must remove an existing & replace it with another, existing one must be corrupt & you must replace it with incorrupt, so you must have a mind bank & technique to handle it.

@dailyglimps24 I'm British and I don't feel like I belong here anymore...

@WilliamGPeter1 @RayComfort Not sure what you are talking about.
English

@OctoStote3000 @RayComfort How do you remove the mind & replace with another mind? What's the difference between an old mind and a new mind? What are the origins of these minds?
If you guys address these then it may be meaningful otherwise it's a waste.
