@John_Cyrano I liked Rolemaster and it's licensed games. Same company did MERP (Middle Earth Role Playing) and I loved that game! They had their own cyberpunk one, too, which was pretty good.

A lot of people consider Rolemaster to be "too complex", and yes, it's got a lot of moving parts. But in-game, other than the action economy, it's no more complex to play than 3e style D20. There are various house rules out there for the action economy, and if you fix that, the game can run quite quick. Keep a calculator handy, the numbers can get large, but that happens with any percentile based system.

@YoDanno With original cast, I'd give it a chance. Not interested in a reboot with new actors. Not interested in a "new generation" with different actors.

Would you watch a Firefly reboot, if the original crew is on board, but it is released by Disney? Normally I would say no. But if Fillion, Tudyk, and the rest of the crew sign on, I’d hope they’ve approved it.

Many of them, depending on number distribution can give a pretty skewed result. And then there is the friction problem with it wanting to keep rolling, often off the table. It’s neat to look at, but positively impractical.
