Sandy Hook was a terrible atrocity. My heart goes out to the victims.
The media coverage of the Sandy Hook mass shooting, the Democratic Party's political exploitation of the tragedy to push gun control laws, and the way the state blocked third party verification is what spawned the conspiracy theories.
Long story short: Transparency is how you fight conspiracy theories. When the government blocks independent investigation, it is what fuels them.
