And there is the reality.
All of the promises, all the rhetoric, all the empty, meaningless words.

@SamaHoole I cook from scratch, make my own beef and chicken stock from bones. Always make Sunday dinner, cook chips in beef dripping. I have the time, many don't. I can't be a purist about food tho', cheeky takeaways are always a tasty treat 😋
English

Sunday lunch at your grandmother's table in 1960:
- A proper joint, roasted in its own dripping
- Yorkshire puddings made with real beef drippings and farm eggs
- Roast potatoes cooked in the beef fat
- Gravy from the pan juices
- A pudding with suet
- A wedge of cheddar to finish
- Three generations around the table for two hours
Sunday lunch at most British tables now:
- A supermarket chicken roasted in sunflower oil
- Frozen Yorkshire puddings from Aunt Bessie's
- Roast potatoes from a bag
- Gravy from a Bisto packet
- Trifle from the Tesco chilled aisle
- Forty-five minutes, two generations if you are lucky
The Sunday lunch was the centre of the British week for four hundred years.
A 2022 poll found 42% of British households no longer cook one with any regularity. Among under-35s, 61%.
Four hundred years of habit ending on the watch of a single generation.

But during Wednesday’s slobbering speech he insisted “we don’t need their oil, we already have more than anyone else.” Now he wants to ‘TAKE THE OIL’.
Invoke the 25th Amendment, get this senile warmongering idiot and Netanyahu sock puppet out of office - before it’s too late…

@EssexPR @kezia_noble @learebllihc I have an adult son with profound autism and intellectual disabilities plus epilepsy. He's nearly thirty and we still have to prove on a regular basis that he lacks capacity for most of his needs. It's not easy (at least for us) to claim for much needed help.

@Jenny_1884 Yes, synthetic folic acid has been added to loads of products! Ideal time to try and limit ultra processed food as much as possible.

@MikeD93735031 @MidwesternDoc To save you money, the books say DMSO is not recommended if you smoke, drink, on prescription meds, have advanced cancer, pregnant or breastfeeding!
English

@MidwesternDoc If you could only recommend one book (or one video series, I suppose) to show people how to use DMSO properly for all their various ailments, what would it be?
English

This 75 year old who'd been blind since birth suddenly regained his sight after using DMSO to cure sinusitis.
DMSO has been repeatedly shown to heal eye issues medicine still can't solve like blindness and macular degeneration along with eliminating floaters and cataracts by it's unique affinity for concentrating within the eye, restoring both blood flow and drainage, rapidly eliminating inflammation, refolding the degenerative proteins which characterize many eye disorders so they can be eliminated and reviving damaged tissue so it can resume working—even after being dormant for 75 years.
In fact, Murray's case is not unique, and as I show in the article below, many similar ones were documented but then essentially forgotten, as were the myriad of other challenging eye conditions which rapidly disappeared following DMSO use, and still remain "incurable" fifty years later.🧵

🚨The Trump administration just filed a Supreme Court brief in SUPPORT of Bayer/Monsanto.
Three of the nine DOJ attorneys who signed it previously worked for law firms that represented Bayer. One defended Bayer in a lawsuit over pesticides killing honeybees. Another worked on the legal team for Bayer's acquisition of Monsanto.
They are now signing briefs on behalf of the United States government in favor of that same company.
The case before the Supreme Court will decide whether individuals can bring state-level lawsuits against pesticide manufacturers for failing to warn about cancer risks. If Bayer wins, those lawsuits go away. All of them. The $10 billion in verdicts and settlements that forced this company to the negotiating table for 67,000 cancer cases? That pipeline closes permanently.
In the past, RFK Jr., personally represented a Roundup cancer victim and won a $289 million verdict against Monsanto.
The key safety study the EPA has relied on to call glyphosate safe? It was ghostwritten by Monsanto employees. It was retracted in November 2025. The EPA cited it again anyway... in this very brief!
97.8% of respondents in ICAN's recent poll said manufacturers should remain liable for harm caused by their products.
97.8%.
President Trump has shown he responds to public pressure. He needs to hear from this movement (LOUDLY) that we are watching, and this is not what we voted for.

@johnrich Almost everyone I know here in Iowa knew it was bullshit and didn’t take it. I let my wife lose her job over it. It made things difficult for a while, zero regret. Baby boy coming in April, I sleep in peace knowing he has 2 Christian unvaxxed parents.

@NABurkinshaw Brilliant responses from him. I have cried laughing 🤣

Miliband’s a liar; official. A survey published in the Times of 1,000 heat pump owners shows 66% say it was MORE expensive to run than gas boilers.
The heat pumps cost £13,200 to install with a taxpayer subsidy ( your money) of £7,500.
No surprise the heat pumps were pricier - electricity is 4 times that of gas.
Only 15% of respondents said the heat pumps were cheaper while 19% said the price was the same.
The results from this survey ( and a 1,000 owners is meaningful) makes Miliband to be a liar as he claimed bills will come down.
Either he’s lying or the owners are.
Let’s face it he’s a Labour politician and it’s in his career interests to lie.
The owners have no reason to tell untruths about their energy costs. It’s painful for them.
This is a serious survey and a serious blow to heat pumps and Miliband.
Don’t touch them until the costs cost down.
