10 years ago, James Rolfe said he wasn’t going to review Ghostbusters (2016)… and people lost their shit. He got dragged by left-wing outrage mobs for not wanting to engage with something he wasn’t interested in. Now I say I’m not seeing Project Hail Mary in theaters because of where the author stands politically… and suddenly it’s the other side doing the exact same damn thing. Same behavior. Different jerseys. And that’s the part people don’t want to admit. It’s never been about principles. It’s about control. Who gets to like something. Who gets to ignore something. Who gets to speak. Step outside of that, and here comes the bullshit. Guys like Critical Drinker aren’t fighting the system. They’re the same kind of gatekeeping assholes they’ve been bitching about for years.
