At Got Ramogi in Kenya this afternoon, I had the honor of accepting the honorary title of Luo Elder at the ongoing 4th Edition of the Piny Luo cultural festival. This makes the 3rd time for me, first having been the Alur and the Acholi. Now I am waiting for a Luo name. I am pleased with these gatherings, like the recent one we had in Teso for the Ateker people. After so many years, you are finally highlighting the unfairness of these borders. What right did those individuals have to put asunder what God had united or to annihilate entire communities in various parts of the world? By good luck, Africans survived.

Please please stop from always tagging yourselves to following @KagutaMuseveni mobilisation program. It's better to conduct your own schedule as @NRMOnline Secretariat although you can and should always reinforce his! That way, we do a deeper job!

I had the opportunity to meet and greet the Emorimori of Teso while we were in Palisa for the final activity of the President's tour of the Bukedi subregion. The turn up is massive, and the tour has been successful, with the president promising to fund the Regional Devt Plan.

Honored to join H.E. President and national chairman @NRMOnline @KagutaMuseveni on the Parish Development Model (PDM) tour in Bukedi! His message is clear: for true socio-economic transformation, we must focus on wealth creation. Let’s empower our communities and put concepts into action for lasting impact.

President Yoweri Museveni has issued a stern warning to leaders misleading Ugandans, saying they should check themselves or he will help them to do so. According to the President, these leaders divert Ugandans from important issues such as wealth creation. “I am really not happy with the people who divert our people's attention. I am tired of the misleaders of our people and they should check themselves or I will check them," he said.

𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈'𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐍 𝐔𝐂𝐃𝐀 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 President Museveni on Rationalization of Agencies "Some agencies were created when our economy was struggling and salaries for public servants were low. Today, some of these agencies remain redundant and irrational. Rationalization is aimed at streamlining their roles for a more effective public service." Why We Created Agencies Like UNRA & NAADS "We established agencies like Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) to fast-track certain projects. However, despite higher pay for these agency workers, results have been limited." Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Results "In 2013, 68% of Ugandan homes were outside the money economy. That’s why I launched Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) to provide seedlings and resources directly to farmers. Today, 67% of households are now in the money economy, a big milestone." Addressing Issues in OWC & PDM "Complaints about OWC distributing low-quality or poorly-timed materials led us to create the Parish Development Model (PDM), allowing people at the parish level to buy their own supplies. PDM provides the first low-interest credit for Ugandans." Rationalization in the Dairy Sector "It is untrue that Uganda’s dairy industry depends on agencies like the Dairy Development Authority (DDA). Before our interventions, milk production was only 200 million liters a year. Today, we produce 5.3 billion liters because of NRM's focus on dairy development." Coffee Revolution Driven by NRM "Uganda now exports 9 million bags of coffee annually, up from 2 million bags in 1986. While this earns USD 900 million, we aim for more by adding value to our coffee before export. Currently, exporting unprocessed beans benefits countries like Germany more than us." Expanding Agricultural Cash Crops "Our cash crops now include not only coffee, tea, and tobacco but also maize, bananas, fruits, milk, beef, and many more. We don’t need an agency for every crop. Rationalization ensures we’re efficient and impactful." Rejecting Tribalism in Economic Development "We’ve developed industries across Uganda, with many in Buganda. Tribalism has no place in our development plans. These projects directly benefit local communities if leaders encourage participation." The Cost of Raw Coffee Exports "Uganda gets USD 900 million from coffee exports, but we are left with depleted soil nutrients. By processing coffee locally, we can retain more value. While Germany earns USD 65 billion from coffee, Africa’s share remains a small USD 2.5 billion." Ensuring Uganda’s Economic Independence "External forces may want to prevent our rationalization efforts. We will not be deterred in our mission to maximize Uganda’s resources and achieve economic self-reliance."

A traffic officer on duty @ MUBS intercepted, the driver of vehicle UBM 439T T/Landcruiser, Mercy Timbitwire Bashisha for using her phone while driving. Despite repeated instructions to stop, the driver refused & continued driving to Lugogo traffic lights, where the officer pursued & stopped her again. She then proceeded to UMA, where she & her other friend allegedly assaulted the officer, seizing his phones & a police EPS gadget printer. The two ladies have been charged & are currently detained pending court proceedings. We strongly condemn such acts of violence against our officers & emphasize the importance of respecting law enforcement officers.

HE @KagutaMuseveni at Nakasero Kampala gave “new names” to our visiting US delegation. The delegation is on a product offtake exploration and investment tour in the country. Delegation leader Robert Blackwell from Chicago became “Oketcho”, (one born in a rainy season), Jorgen Peter from New York became ‘Tindyebwa’, which means “I never forget your good works” Hope Ryle became “Ngaanzi” which means star and Micheal Pratt from Los Angeles was named MUKASA or keeper of the lake! The President named 12 people and autographed his book, The Mustard Seed, a copy for each. The exploration is beyond offtake but also a cultural exploration for us to understand each other. #PACBF24

I also opened a cassava starch factory. Manufacturing local starch will significantly reduce the high cost of importing starch for use in making medicines. We shall see how to support them.

Today, in Butebo district, we celebrated Dr. Monica Musenero, a true pioneer in veterinary medicine and a champion in combating zoonotic diseases. During the Ebola outbreak in Kibale, Dr. Musenero and her team demonstrated unwavering courage. Even when others hesitated, they stepped in to protect lives. She teaches us the value of selfless service: If you work for the people, God works for you. When I met with the family at Kaberekeke, I was pleased to learn that the entire family, which includes the minister as a grandchild, has agreed to consolidate their family land and manage it together. I commend this decision, as the land's natural resources have been severely misused, increasing poverty for future generations.

As I toured the district and later addressed a rally, I emphasised the importance of sustainable agriculture. I was particularly concerned about the under-utilisation of fertile land, especially the mismanagement of rice cultivation in the valleys. In Pallisa District, for example, fish farming has restored swamps and proved significantly more profitable than rice. By restoring swamps and irrigating dry land, farmers can substantially increase their income.

I spent the day in Bukedea District, where I officially opened the 21st edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games at a new sports facility. I would like to thank the Rt. Hon. Anita Among and her colleagues for developing the new stadium at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. This should serve as an example to others so that we can develop similar stadia in other parts of the country.
