Cycled home via Moseley Rd. 4.30pm all these cars parked in the bus lane. No enforcement in sight.

Over the border in Newcastleton yesterday. Pleasantly surprised to see kids coming home from school on their bikes! Have no doubt this is down to initiatives of @ScottishCycling @leecraigie @SustransScot & others. The new 20mph speed limit also makes a big difference @BordersInfo

I take my helmet off to @WezHamnett. I spotted Wesley on this 3-year-old's bike in Carlisle en route from Glasgow to Manchester for 4 charities. He goes through Penrith and Kendal today to do a parachute jump in Morecambe. Then Russia to ride to Manchester but not on that bike!

This is why 60% of adults never ride a bike. Today, Botchergate, Carlisle stuck in traffic. Cycle lane? Or parking lane! Authorities will soon have all the powers & funds to change this @CumbriaCC @Cumbriapolice @BBC_Cumbria @CumbriaCrack @ActiveCumbria We can't live like this!
