Possible locations of loss include between #Woodhenge and #Stonehenge (@EH_Stonehenge), The Bell, #Amesbury (@UKjdspoons), or The Carriage in #Tickenham, but he could be anywhere as we've travelled a lot this past week.

In the past I foolishly assumed that there would of course be a plan in place for tree maintenance after tree planting events, but the truth is mind-boggling.

Yes! This needs shouting louder. Planting trees is pretty useless unless there’s a plan to nurture their growth. Dead saplings don’t restore tree cover, biodiversity or carbon sequestration. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Having walked Hadrian’s Wall just last summer, #SycamoreGap was a powerful symbol and I feel its loss. But when all is said and done, I and the thousands of people like me who mourn this tree will go back to doing what we do every day ... (6/7)
