41% of Brits see immigration as the biggest issue facing Britain (+9 points since last month). Economy is seen as the second biggest issue for the country, with concern relatively unchanged since April. 📉 Concern for defence and foreign affairs has fallen significantly (-10 points since April) 👉 bit.ly/42NoyCk

Over half a million 3rd world migrants landed in Britain in the last year. The nation will only start to improve when that number is 0.

@ONS There are still two glaring issues here; 1. The number of non-EU nationals arriving yearly is still enormous, and is very likely heavily skewed towards students/dependants 2. The number of British nationals emigrating is enormous, which is actually worsening the problem.

@LukeTryl This won’t change. It’s about the migrant debt not just the migrant deficit. 627k non-EU migrants is still an increase on an already leave amount. People won’t feel it getting better in their neighbourhoods, towns or villages. Only will if net negative non-eu migration happens.

🧵 Migration figures will be a test of whether the Government can get credit for a clear reduction in headline numbers & what that does to the salience of immigration. Currently levels of immigration and crossings occupy spaces 3/4 on our tracker (48% select at least one)

@ukhomeoffice According to your own data released today: 79,719 asylum claims were rejected. 3,475 deportations. 8,443 voluntary returns. Where are the rest? Still in our country, and thats without mentioning the 10,000’s you approved, you are doing nothing.

I suspect when voters say ‘immigration’ is their number 1 issue they mean stock and not flow. If your town is still the same as it was 6 months ago, someone getting on TV and saying ‘we’ve slashed immigration’ won’t move the needle much

@Off_DanielH1 @SophyRidgeSky Given that number was running at over 1m a year when Labour took power it rather suggests they are bringing it under control.

Statistically speaking, 9 of them would have become convicted sex offenders. However, that's just the ones who are found guilty - which only happens in 3.1% of cases. The number of sexual offenses this hero prevented could have been as high as 303. migrationcentral.co.uk/p/over-100000-…
