As we start trading on January 1st, 2020. This agreement will create a single market, deepening the economic intergration of our continent.

The dawn of enhanced inter-Africa trade is upon us. Today, I delivered Namibians position to the 13th Extraordinary session of the AU Assembly, Heads of State and Government, on our commitment and desire to see the full implementation of the AfCFTA agreement.

Allow me to wish, the whole Namibian Nation a happy and blessed Heroes Day.

I also want to celebrate all the brave men and women, who have taken up the battle towards economic emancipation.

Today, I would like to acknowledge our brave men and women at the forefront of the fight against the invisible enemy, in particular I would like to salute our security clusters, our medical officials, our health workers and all those that have taken up arms against this pandemic.

On this memorable day, we bow our heads in commemoration of those freedom fighters, who did not live to see an independent Namibia. In the same vein, I salute all veterans who risked their lives for the attainment of independence of our great Nation.

In keeping with the national vision for affordable housing and the improvement of living conditions in the informal settlements. Today we witnessed the launch of an affordable housing initiative for residents in the informal settlements in Windhoek.

Today I reappointed the Top Three Government Leaders who will assist me with the execution of my mandate for the second Term of Office, effective 21 March 2020.

#Namibia is a member of the 15-member High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean which brings together serving Heads of Government representing countries at different levels of development with communities that rely on their oceans for survival. #SDG14

H.E Dr Nangolo Mbumba participated in the High Level Side Event on Africa’s #BlueEconomy on the margins of the #AUSummit2020. Speaking alongside @JustinTrudeau and @antonioguterres @OfficialMbumba highlighted the importance Namibia attaches to the Blue Economy.
