The new Acting IGP, Tunji Disu, joined the police as a Cadet ASP in 1992. DIG Frank Mbah joined the police as a Cadet Inspector in 1994. Federal Character favored Frank Mbah to become a DIG in 2023, within three months of becoming AIG, because he was the most senior officer from the Southeast, and there was a need to appoint a DIG from the six geographic zones. As of today too, Frank Mbah is not the most Senior DIG. But the mob won't still want to hear this.
