True story Sending me to high school wasn’t easy for my parents. The fees were high, and they hesitated at first. One day, my dad secretly sat me down and told me something I will never forget: “I’m sending you to the best school despite the financial pressure at home but make sure you network. Connect with rich kids and learn from them.” At the time, I was very shy boy . But I had a hidden talent music writing. After my first term, I returned with 2 recorded music from the best producer in kabale then, and suddenly, everything changed. My name started spreading around school. The same students I was told to connect with began coming to me. Without knowing it, I had achieved my father’s mission and discovered my own mission : to become successful,hardworking and well-known. After high school, life got tougher. In 2019, I made a bold decision to leave home. I spent time moving between Mbarara, Lyantonde, and eventually Kampala figuring life out. After a month of searching, I got my first job as a cleaner at Ham Shopping Mall, Nakivubo. We later moved to Ham Towers Makerere, working at Queen’s Supermarket. I didn’t stay the same I grew. Cleaner → Attendant → Purchasing Assistant. I saved aggressively. My salary grew from 350,000 UGX to 900,000 UGX. Eventually, I quit and used my savings to join university Just when I thought things would get harder, life surprised me again. I met the then MUBS Guild President, Robinson Apunyo (Guild 2019-2020), who opened doors for me. I later became Chief Entertainer and Mobilizer under Hon. Kiyega Rodgers (@Rogerskiyega) ( Guild 2020-2021) , and joined the Social Affairs Ministry. That exposure changed everything. I built connections with brands like UBL, NBL, MTN Pulse, URA, and major events companies. Known as “Mr Bee” through Campus Bee marketing, I started Mr Bee Investments offering small loans to students. At the same time, I worked as Marketing Manager at Caelum Tours & Travel (@CaelumTours ), sharpening my skills. In my third year, I secured an internship at Hanzetours @Hanzetours and got retained as Reservations Manager, Social Media Handler, and part of the marketing team. Two months before graduation, I made another bold move ,I resigned. After graduation, I started my own journey with UG Special Tours (@Ug_specialtours ) Today, I serve as a Director at Travel Specialist and Managing Director at Turigye Tours (@turigyetours) while also supporting multiple tourism businesses across Uganda, from lodges to car hire to destination marketing. From the streets to building businesses. The journey is still on but one thing is clear: Consistency, relationships, and courage can completely change your life.

@KCCAUG this is the railway crossing along wankoko near Motiv. Half the road has been closed for weeks now and what they were working on is done but the blocks cause a lot of jam in the evenings.

@PoliceUg @MoWT_Uganda why would road repairs start at peak hours when people are going back home, or going to work without prior communication about road closure? Small things that cause too much jam that if we only cared, we would not have such mess.

@DokitaSharon @Buzeki_Sharifah @joshjeje2 We simply can’t widen roads when we failed to plan our city. Widening roads means demolishing already existing infrastructure and majorly the buildings. I believe in her getting people off their private cars. Though this brings the issue of security what next?

@Buzeki_Sharifah @joshjeje2 The first goal is to expand the road to dual lanes ,develop connecting routes so that when I get out of a bus 🚌, I am not taking boda to connect to my village! The rest is background noise if roads are not worked on ,off routes connected to the main roads.

We plan to introduce Electric buses, engagements with local bus service providers are ongoing.The buses will be deployed along the major corridors. Working with Ministry of Works and Transport (@MoWT_Uganda ), @RailwaysUganda we are double tracking the passenger rail services on available railway corridors but ultimately there one major solution: GET PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR PRIVATE CARS TO: 1. Walk 2. Cycle 3. Use mass transit i.e MGR,BRT,LRT MGR- Meter Guage Railway From Mukono to Bujuuko BRT - Bus Rapid Transit Mukono to Kampala Gayaza to Kampala Kampala to Kajjansi LRT- Light Railway Transit New Routes to Kira, to Matugga, to Nakisunga with a circular LRT along Northern Bypass and the Southern Bypass When fully implemented ,traffic jam will drastically reduce.

Stop 3✋: Delegates visited the Rwomushojjo gold mines in Buhweju District, where gold was first discovered in the 1850s. Mr. Muhairwe Justus, a miner of 12 years, explained that 4 tonnes of ore yield just 2 grams of gold, depending on the depth reached. They focus on rock gold due to the region’s rocky terrain, while valleys contain alluvial gold. Locals use handmade tools like the “Quinqui,” ball mill, and “kiri ngombe.” He noted that small-scale mining has improved livelihoods through better access to education and housing. #14thMineralWealthConference2025 #MiningExcursionTrip

Stop 2✋: Woodcross Resources Ltd – Mbarara At Woodcross Resources Ltd in Mbarara, the delegation toured the mining and processing facility, gaining firsthand insight into the company’s operations. The team was guided through the entire value chain—from the raw extraction of iron ore and tin to their transformation into fine, processed forms and final products. They observed the machinery and techniques used in crushing, smelting, and refining. A notable moment was when delegates physically handled samples, experiencing the weight and texture of fine tin and finished products.
