@ToddOnSports Taking up for Dale in this instance. They have had a great run so tip of hat to them. Most if not all of those boys are home grown and just understand how to play the game at a deeper level.If you want to look at cap on enrollment to stay down in class 2A..different conversation

This is going to come off as a knock on a school like Dale. I promise you that it's not... I really hope we start moving the dominant programs in high school sports into higher classes in Oklahoma. With open transfer, the dominant teams will only continue their dominance. I'm not saying every school that won big did so with transfers, but plenty schools did and will continue to. Your enrollment is no longer your biggest advantage when open transfer is a thing. Your resources, your location, your finances, and often times the lack of those things for the schools/towns around you is much more of a factor. I just called 18 state tournament games over the last two weeks. I obviously still love high school sports, especially basketball. I just think a change in the system makes the entire experience better for everyone, the fans, the players and even the loser media members like me.

One of the hardest things for me right now is continuing to use my voice to talk sports and Thunder basketball while innocent people continue to die as a result of hatred embedded in our systems of power. Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I surprised? No. America’s origin story is rooted in theft, violence, slavery, and exploitation. That truth still shows up in how this country moves today. Part of the problem is how often we turn away from what is clearly wrong. We tell ourselves there is nothing we can do. We prioritize comfort, status, and job security over accountability and humanity. At some point, that thinking has to end. If we never take a stand, nothing will ever change. And I mean that.

@Daradondo I know its hard to believe but not every kid wants to play for OU or OSU from the state of Oklahoma.

OSU or OU doesn't have a QB Meanwhile Byrd is gradually becoming a franchise QB as a freshman at Utah Make it make sense Imma continue to be loud about this because it's a kid right now in our state that this could happen too also
